Food is hearty and fresh. Have been a few times and was not disappointed each time. The desserts, scones, traybakes and selection of pies to take home is fabulous. Great wee place with local artists works decorating the walls. Love seeing local talent being spotlighted. My mum particularly loved the lemon meringue and I enjoyed the fresh apple tart with cream.

Parking can be a bit unaccessible for anyone with a disability or with a pram as it's on a hill but not too bad if you have support. Lovely wee spot to visit for lunch and a good selection of...

The staff were fantastic, very attentive and really friendly. It was a very busy Saturday (the day before mothers Day). We were asked to wait a few minutes on a table (perfectly acceptable, there were 6 of us) the staff were very nice about it, very apologetic. The food was okay, although the portion size for the sides was very small (my side came in a very small glass) and the kids' portions were so small they were not suitable for a 9 year old. Lovely quaint country feel to the restaurant. A very good mixed menu with loads on it. I had prawn open sandwich with a portion of chips, all delicious . The open prawn was really a big portion so I didn't really need the chips ( ate them anyway) my husband had chicken goujons and chips and said beautiful.
