My husband, daughter, and I stopped by Deli on the Green for lunch yesterday, and we had a great experience. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and the staff took our order promptly. Our food arrived shortly after ordering, which was a nice touch.
My husband ordered the salty chili chicken, which came with a generous portion and a refreshing Asian-style salad underneath. He really enjoyed it but couldnāt finish it because the portion was so big! I had the slow-cooked beef lasagna, which was hearty, comforting, and full of flavor ā it had that lovely home-cooked feel. That said, it might feel a bit heavy for some, but I personally loved it and didnāt need another bite for the rest of the day. Our daughter had the fish and chips, and she was very happy with her meal.
The only small note was that the chips on all three plates felt slightly undercooked ā a few more minutes in the fryer would have made them crispier.
The total bill came to Ā£50, which included a Peroni Zero, a soda, and an apple juice. We found the service attentive and friendly throughout, and itās definitely a great spot for food in the area. Iād be interested to try some of their other...

Hopes were low when searching for a suitable venue for a business lunch in Dungannon - mainly because options seemed thin on the ground.
But what a treat we had at Deli on the Green.
Our party of four had a selection of dishes and drinks and all passed muster.
We had:
Fishcakes Chowder Salted Chilli Squid And something else my memory fails me on (but I write this at 5am in my defence)
All of the dishes were tasty and freshly cooked although, as with so many restaurants in Ireland, somewhat lacking in seasoning. The chowder in particular was thick, creamy and packed with fish.
Perhaps most delightful of all was the warm welcome and beautiful building, also encompassing a farm shop showcasing some of the region's top food and drink producers.
Our business colleagues, on expedition from Dublin, went home very impressed with Dungannon and Cookstown. And not many people say that!
Well done to Deli...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was fantastic, the beef was melt in your mouth! A tip for the servers though would be to make sure the sides arrive with the mains.
The above was 3 years ago! The below is a separate visit.
The food was satisfactory but a fair bit overpriced for the portion size. I had to ask to order a drink after sitting for 15min when the starter arrived we ordered another drink from a manager but it didnāt come so we asked a server. The main course arrived which was small but nice, the main course was finished and 15min had passed we werenāt asked if we wanted dessert (which we did) so after being there 1hr and 10min in total we decided to leave. Should have tried Viscounts on this...
