KFC Portadown - Bridge Street — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Absolutely shocking branch of KFC. I can’t give a zero or negative number of stars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

My experience today, I ordered two kids meals and a box meal and it wasn’t overly busy. Whilst waiting, another customer came in and made a complaint he was missing something, the guy behind till cold as ice turned to him and said “I’m not saying it wasn’t in there but I made that order, I know it was fine” just the manner of it was disgusting.

I waited for half an hour watching other orders come and go before I asked where mine was as it wasn’t on the screen.

One of the guys behind the counter who I spoke to couldn’t be less interested if he tried, didn’t say anything and I watched as he quickly tapped on the screens to see my order was recalled? But I never got an explanation

A further 15 minutes of waiting until the staff member who had spoken to that customer earlier, handed me one huge bag and just one fruit shoot. Now bear in mind there’s three meals I ordered, of which they had to look at twice, I asked where are the other drinks?

His reply? “Should there be more? I don’t know, I can’t see the drinks so I don’t know”.

Then proceeded to hand me the wrong drinks but by then I had spent 40mins with my youngest child so I left

In this car I checked it to find that EVERYTHING had just been thrown into one huge bag, where’s the box meal? Thrown into the bag, no kids buckets, missing chips, missing popcorn chicken. The burger in the box meal, clearly marked no dressing was fully dressed, not a major issue but it’s still wrong despite them having the order for 40 minutes to look at.

I went back in and said I’m missing a popcorn chicken from one of kids meals and this sums them up, the same guy proceeds to hand me a large popcorn chicken without checking at all. I only needed a small kids one.

The staff are disinterested, couldn’t care about anything, there seems to be no method to their working and reading the reviews I’m not the only one to experience poor service.

The “owner” replies to reviews apologising and saying “we’ll do better” but there’s absolutely no want to improve or provide a service. There are other restaurants in the town and they manage to cope.

Will not be returning and would advise anyone reading not to bother, you’ll be disappointed. No wonder the place is...

I had a drive through today 31 jan 2025 after 11am and my order wasn't right ,chicken was dry and it's coating was definitely not kfc secret recipe it was bland no taste or smell of the usual coating so whoever coated and cooked this needs to be told it didnt taste nice at all. The chicken doesn't even taste the same maybe they have changed supplier but it was horrible worst I've ever gotten or eaten hope we dont take ill. Mum and I r very very disappointed today. we get a kfc as a treat because its usual coating is delicious this certainly wasnt it was chicken with a coating a bland horrible one at that, even the hot wings where bland the chips r rarely coated with the special seasoning this kfc is fast going down hill I'm sorry to say so please do something before it's to late some staff r good but most r not rarely see a smile and can be rude and hand your order in torn bags or bags that r far to small for your order and they make you feel you shouldnt be there by making you sit at the drive through for longer than is nessary either when ordering or when you drive round to collect your order Reading the other reviews it goes without saying sorry isn't good enough anymore actions speak louder than words if you want your business to do well you need to start to sort these problems out and start with staff and there attitude to customers and they need to be better trained to cook and season your chicken as to the secret recipe we all know and love as you r letting the kfc name and brand down it's been the worst experience we have ever had at a kfc and we have been to alot...

22st September 2025...dipped a toe back in twice in the last 2 weeks. Someone has taken charge here...chicken was as it should be, gravy was tasty, service though was busy was quick enough. The KFC taste was back, portions are still small and the staff are a wee bit uncoordinated, but the nightmare that was KFC from 2 years ago seems to be over

23rd April 2023...Update tonight...credit where its due....was decent.

6 months ago..... Quality has fallen off a cliff again. Tonight's chicken was bones with a KFC coating...so disappointed, thought it had turned a corner even though the staff I had suggested had turned it around were on service.

Visited tonight, still good so has definitely turned a corner. The 2 piece meal is still there, my mistake. Staff really on their game, well done.

My previous 1 star replaced. Went tonight because a reviewer on Facepaint suggested things might have changed. Prices are up, the 2 piece meal has been replaced by a 3 or 4 piece, but the quality has went up exponentially. There is a more mature lady who seems to rule with authority and keeps the orders moving. Best thing is the old KFC is back. This is only a tentative recommendation, but if you like KFC and went elsewhere, give Portadown another go. I'm glad I did.

Chips missing from carry out, chicken overcooked and dry, this outlet is damaging the global brand. I know its a franchise and you are not buying from KFC, but if the franchisee is asleep at the wheel the brand needs to know. Need...
