McDonald's — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

I mean a McDonald's is a McDonald's at the end of the day. The quality and service that I would have previously associated with this particular restaurant have deteriorated, it's hard for me to judge the time scale that this has happened over as I have been living elsewhere. The staff seem to be very task focused, which leaves that they are not interacting with the customers. This leaves the service feeling cold and robotic. I've read several other people's reviews here complaining about things like the thickness of the meat!? As someone who used to work for this chain at a number of venues including this one, everything is standardised, the burger patties are a set size, cooked in a particular way for a fixed period of time, temperature checked to ensure they're cooked thoroughly. If you order items from the standard menu then everything is prepped, cooked and built in a standard way. I will give people their disputes about items with special requests being made wrong, this however comes down to human error and my recommendation for people who are ordering items like this, is to go inside the restaurant, that way any possible errors can be corrected...

Have went here a few times on a Sunday morning. I don't think they have ever got the order right.. today I put in an order for a double bacon and egg mcmuffin meal with a toffee late, one double sausage and egg mcmuffin meal with a late and a double bacon and egg mcmuffin no cheese on its own. The order was correct on the screen by the time I drove round the young man had some how messed it up and I had to call out the order again 5 times then he went and got the manager and he called it out and was wrong so I had to call it out once again. When I finally got my order I noticed straight away that the drinks weren't right but given how long i had already been there I just left it be, but once I got home I realized they messed up the food order and sent me two sausage and egg mcmuffins one with cheese on without and one double bacon and egg with no cheese. I go to this McDonald's every other weekend but this is the last time I rather drive Futher out and get a decent service and actually getting my food right than going to an establishment that doesn't know how to train the weekend staff. Please educate your staff on sustainability. Ordered two cups of coffee at drive thru, told the server (white shirt so possibly a manager) I didn’t want a cup holder, she told me she had to give me them in a cup holder in case they spilled. Upon trying to return the cup holder, she wouldn’t take it. Told her it was a waste and she should have give me them out individually to which she replied she had to give them in cup holders. I asked her “if you were giving me a single cup of coffee would you give it to me in a cup holder?” she said yes she would. This was after I gave one cup back to get ice cubes in it to cool the coffee down - in no cup holder.

Couldn’t make it up, the stupidity on show this morning. Come on McDonalds, sort it out and educate your staff please. Simple steps and common sense would have prevented the needless recycling of this cup holder which was required to pass two drinks less than 1 metre from service...
