An ideally suited coffee shop within the Costa franchise but very busy drafty ( if you sit anywhere near the door in winter ) and always ques out of the door even though they have 2 working coffee machines. Something which really got my attention and I havenāt seen done at other Costa Stores but is done at this one especially today is that which might be contributing to the long ques out of the door. When people have been ordering food they have to wait at the counter until it is cooked ( reheated )and no one else in the que at the till is served until the person has received there hot food. It may or may not be clear from the 4 pictures I have added but tables are not being cleared as people are leaving the 4 staff (2 staff per till) are staying behind the counter!!! This store shares its car park with PC World Carpet right Ikea Maplins, Jolleys and M&S food hall but even if you canāt get right next to your shop of choice there is always room else where in the car park. The staff are really nice, donāt get me wrong , however this store would and could be really fantastic if only they would clear the trays and cutlery and clean down the tables then go on a que busting missing during peak times ( these happen Saturday and Sunday as well ). I would be delighted to go back in a few weeks to this shop providing the above key points have been challenged...

Came into the store yesterday to order some food and drinks with my baby. On recieving my food and drink I was told that it's Costas policy not to give out high chairs and was advised the baby sat on my lap.
When I asked why they said they had no idea why there was this rule, but continued to refuse me a high chair so I had no choice but to leave. Do the staff honestly think it's a good idea to drink a hot coffee with a baby sat on my lap when there's over 10 high chairs literally next to the counter.
I will no longer be supporting this chain, nor will I advise anyone else to either. Covid has clearly become an excuse for poor customer service or the staff are just too lazy, either way they're more than deserving of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here today for the first time, never again, the staff we patronizing, the biggest issue was the poor management of the the covid 19 safety guidelines, the first thing I noticed was stools under the bar in the window all less than a metre apart, probably not to be used but no signs, the first girl lent through the opening to show me how to scan the barcode and tuttered whilst taking my phone and doing it for me, even though I new how to do it it's just it was placed too close to the card reader, it was if they were trying to follow the management advise but completely missed the point, they gave me the impression they were more superior than the customer and i didn't feel covid safe, I will not be going...
