I had the pleasure to finally visit the gorgeous cafe Emporium in Norwich. Even before trying anything I was so impressed by the decor and the atmosphere, I felt instantly calm as soon as I entered, loved the exposed brick walls, gorgeous decor all around, really makes you feel instantly relaxed. We were warmly welcomed by Marcela who took the time to talk us through the lovely chocolate selections on display. I'm so excited that we have a beautiful place in Norwich to buy handmade artisan chocolate, all made with such high quality ingredients. One taste and it's easy to tell that this is a high quality chocolate. I would compare it to the chocolates we have bought from food halls in Harrods and Selfridges in London. We tried brigadeiros for the first time, which were absolutely delicious. My husband and daughter commented the hot chocolate was the best they ever had, which is a huge compliment, as both are very particular about their hot chocolate. It was hard to leave without buying a selection of chocolate bars, brigadeiros, cookies, all SO delicious. We will definitely be coming back for more. The brigadiero chocolate boxes are also a wonderful gift idea for a special occasion, xmas gift etc. Can't wait to come back and try some more of the delicious treats! Stepping into The Emporium Café feels like discovering a little slice of heaven tucked away from the world. Marcela, the brilliant Brazilian chocolatier and heart behind the café, brings a level of passion and authenticity that’s truly rare.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the rich, irresistible aroma of freshly baked delights and specialty drinks. The grana cheese rolls were simply out of this world—perfectly warm, with a delicate balance of crispiness on the outside and melty, savory goodness inside. But it was the brigadeiro truffles that completely stole the show; smooth, decadent, and crafted with such care that each bite felt like a celebration.

And the cakes? Phenomenal. Moist, flavorful, and absolutely gorgeous. Whether you're after something rich and chocolatey or light and fruity, there's a cake for every craving. The drinks menu is equally impressive, with each cup brewed or blended to perfection - whether you go for a strong coffee, a luxurious hot chocolate, or one of their refreshing iced options.

Marcela’s warmth and attention to detail elevate the entire experience. You don’t just taste the quality - you feel it. Every visit is like being welcomed into her home.

The owner, Marcela, excels at customer service - she's friendly, welcoming and takes pride and joy in her products and it really shows when she takes time to explain the origins of the incredible tasting chocolates, savoury items and cakes.

I enjoyed a delicious latte which was perfectly hot and full of flavour, alongside a freshly baked stilton brigadeiro.

Marcela explained which female led companies she collaborates with which very easily persuaded me to take a collection of baked goods home to enjoy.

The chocolate cake, baked by Roma's Cakes, is possibly the best chocolate cake in Norwich... It was incredibly moist, filled and coated with two different types of chocolate, a really good sized wedge!! and contained perfectly balanced flavours.

I will not hesitate to return and enjoy this wonderful slice of heaven near Hellesdon.
