This is as traditional British Breakfast as it gets! They say an army marches on its stomach, and stepping into Dixies early on a Thursday morning you get the sense that something is mobilising. There's a bustle, there's an energy. There's excitement and positivity. Quiet energy in abundance and jokes zinging about keeping spirits high. But this is no military on mnaueveres, but the industrious men and women of Norfolk on their way to work and finding their fuel. The full English takes centre stage here and you can tall people smash it away knowing they aren't eating again until they get home after a hard day's graft. Coffee and tea are sluiced down with smiles and plate after plate of food is delivered hot to each table. It's fast, it's friendly and it's everything the full English should be. No frills, no fuss, just full English - Forever!

Today for lunch, I had a sausage and onion pie accompanied by mash and vegetables, all washed down with a refreshing glass of orange juice at my local diner for £10.50. It had been a while since my last visit, and I realized I forgot to request my usual small amount of gravy. Despite this, I still enjoyed the meal, although the pie portion was a bit smaller than I typically expect. This diner is what I like to refer to as a workman’s café, known for its hearty portions that generally exceed those found in regular cafés. On a positive note, I managed to find a parking spot right outside the building today, which can often be a challenge during peak hours.

We popped in on a Sunday morning after a couple of nights away just north of Norwich. Dixies is a haven for anyone who wants nicely cooked traditional cafe fare. 3 choices of breakfast size plus veggie, and a great selection of lunchtime meals. There are also daily specials during the week, and crumble or pie offered as well. We had breakfast which is great value and cooked really well - choice of toasted or fried bread, and black pudding available to add for a quid. Also a good selection of smaller plates and kids dinners as well. Dixies also takes card payment which is useful if you've not got cash on you. Really worth a visit, you won't go wrong.

Took family, all bellies full, everyone happy. Does what it says on the tin....... Floor was wonky, but that was a giggle. Cutlery not amazing quality, BUT CLEAN. And to me that's far more important. And if I got new cutlery and the price went up, I'd moan at that, so all In all, very impressed. Speedy service, happy workers, tables being cleaned properly. My children were even given a kit kat after their meal, and a little touch like that goes a long way. Thanks 4 being welcoming and we would love to come back. Oh, i thought the sausage was not the best, but afterwards I noticed I couldve upgraded the sausage for a butchers sausage for 20p. Which I def would have done but I didn't realise until after I'd ordered. So my advise is to definatly give this place a visit, and upgrade sausage. So pretty much faultless. Thank you, great...
