Was told to keep my kids under control although all they were doing was singing and dancing and the odd shout which you would expect from a 2 and 6 year old. Not family friendly one bit. Gave the place a second chance and was my third visit in one week but will not return. As the bar lady told me to keep them under control my response was I will leave after my drink. her reply was thank you. Didn't finish my drink and just left. Moral of the story don't bother going to this pub if you have children. Your children must not have life and energy and be made of concrete so they sit still and don't talk to be accepted.

No decent ales on tap (customers in 2024 are a little more discerning than the standard Stella, carling, Guinness routine). The decor was an attempt at cosy but just seemed a touch bizarre. Read moreIt was just a nice and cosy pub, not very crowded. People were all regular ones trying to have fun. Staff friendly, I am a student and have not felt any negativity, despite the comment below. The prices were a little bit high, 5.9 for a cider.
But seriously the songs they were playing were wonderful music, it was not alive but doesn't matter, i enjoyed. It was not loud, we were still able to chat but also still enjoyable.
