I don't know where to start... For one, there's a HUGE language barrier!! Not good if you're in Nottingham, UK though... I have to say that, Andeep (The Restaurant's Chef) is very arrogant!! (I'll explain later), but there's a woman in there, I think the oldest of them all, who always hints ''money''.... She won't even entertain you unless you're giving her money!! (Bad Customer Service), and half way through your food, she comes round like, looking at you, trying to intimidate you for more and more money!!!! Like, you're feeling really uncomfortable because of it. Like, ''I'm on a budget, I can't give you more money!!!!!'' Andeep always has his motorcycles on the Restaurant's floor, after he's ridden them, it goes straight into the Restaurant, like, the gasses are fumigating!! You can smell the bike when you walk in.. I mean, is that even allowed? Fair enough, have a ''show bike'', what you aren't going to use for day to day commuting, that's cool!! But he treats his Restaurant as a garage, too! Like it's okay? And with the langauge barrier, they got my order wrong multiple times!!! (No Nepalese can speak English, lol.)(Not like English can speak English)
I just recon they play ''dumb'', they know what you're saying, but it's the ''money'' part why they get you wrong.
Sorry, but if you can't speak fluent English and know the ''lingo'' around Nottingham, then you have no business being here at all.
Andeep always laughs at you when you want to change your order, like the spices he uses, it's not for everyone!! I mean, can't I have what I want without you laughing at me?
I always feel uncomfortable when I came here... I can't wait to go!!
Anyway, I hope my feedback...
Read moreI went to the Ghurka Kitchen yesterday for a mothers day meal as we had heard nothing but good things. We rang up last minute and booked a table for 5pm, we were informed that they were very busy and we would be eating in the hall (their over flow room). We said this would be fine as its still part of the restaurant and we would still have the same experience...
How wrong could we be! When we turned up at 5pm we walked into the loveliest looking room, all decked out in authentic looking decor and was then led into the over flow room we would be eating in. This room was drab looking and cold, our table didn't even have a table cloth. There was no music playing in the hall where we ate and there was no ambience.
The food was really tasty but there was hardly any selection, only one mild curry and about 4 really hot curries to choose from. The naan bread was cold and crispy not soft and tasty.
At the end of the day, me and my family paid £12.95 for an all you can eat buffet that had no dessert selection and had an abismal experience in comparison to the people dining in the main room. I understand we booked late but if we are going to be put in an empty room away from everybody else and have no atmosphere then why should we have had to pay the same as the people in the main room who had a much better experience than me and my family. I won't be coming back there again, they need to update the 'overflow' room to give everybody the same experience. In my opinion £12.95 per person was an extortionate price to pay to sit in a deadly silent hall with a poor...
