The Pelican — Restaurant in Nottingham

My family used The Pelican pub in Bilborough to book the lounge for a private booking for funeral reception and the staff were excellent from beginning to end. The manageress was sympathetic in the way she dealt with our initial booking around a week before the reception and provided a welcome human touch to the process.

On the day of the reception itself, everyone at the Pelican pub delivered on their promises and more. The newly renovated lounge area was sealed off for our private function and this worked really well.

We also used the Pelican kitchen to provide all of the catering and they were great. Many of the people at reception commented on the excellence and range of the hot and cold food provided on the day. (They use Birds for the cobs and quality meats too - top notch!).

If you're looking for a venue to book a private function room that holds a lot of people then I'd recommend the Pelican Pub in Bilborough highly. We had 100+ at our function with separate toilets and a disabled toilet too all at ground level.

Their car park is massive too so it was great for our guests to have ample parking at zero cost too.

After my initial visit to The Pelican Pub I found myself desperately in need of a venue at short notice, for the wake of a family member. I called Marianne however, the date we wanted (23rd April) clashed with St George's Day, but was offered a room separate from the main venue that were more than adequate. Whet for a 50th birthday party the atmosphere was great, the establishment through out was very clean and tidy. The staff was great and very cheerful, professional and polite the food was great and also as 2 rooms at the front and a big room at the back with a big outdoor garden with table.
