Martins bakery — Restaurant in Oldham

There’s nothing’Artisan’ about this store. Artisan reflects inclusion and diversity. Instead they had popular options not suitable for vegetarians. I came to this bakery today and found them to be quite rude. I asked whether their cupcakes were suitable for vegetarians and got stern responses such as no they are not. I asked if the custard slices were suitable - same answer. Rather than direct me to any vegetarian options or being helpful they just stood watching me. They were not polite at all - instead of hanging around asking if every item was suitable for vegetarians, i just walked out. Not giving my custom where it’s not wanted.

Probably are not used to Asians coming into the store so made them feel unwanted but gladly I’m happy to shop at greggs. The cupcakes were ridiculously expensive anyway £1.75 - I’ll bake one...

I've been calling into your bakery now for quite a few months on a Friday morning.Most weeks my purchase has been the same, 2 small egg custards. They do taste really good. I call to see an elderly gentleman and we have a cuppa and a cake. Every when I have bought them, I have charged anything from £1.30 -£1.70. Today 25.3.22, I had the shock of my life. I was charged £3.00. The assistant saud that they had gone up 20pence. I think that is absolutely disgusting. I said to my friend, I would buy you a cake any day, but it is the principle, of going up 20 pence each in 1 week. Sadly to say, I will not be calling in on a Friday for custards, I will have to take my custom, some where...

Disorganised chaos…. What a head ache… one member of staff solely on the till whilst two others run around doing their best to serve customers, meanwhile lady on the till is stood about doing nothing. Ordered three sandwiches and every person we ordered for was disappointed at the size of the sandwiches. It took ages to get served. The lady that served us kept on breaking away to serve other people as well, meanwhile lady on the till is still stood doing nothing. Wouldn’t recommend...
