Nando's Oldham - Elk Mill — Restaurant in Oldham

Hi , Today I went @nandos elk mill royton . I really disappointed and want to share with u as well !

We were 4 families and booked table No 17. We ordered separately meals but we we’re on table 17. Waiter delivered 3 meals and I was waiting for my meal which was butterfly Chicken with two side chips and mash . All my friends finished their food and my 4 kids just staring and they were starving . I asked the waiter who got the orders that this is my Order no with receipt and I am waiting for the food but unfortunately he got the order and by accidentally one of my family friend ate my meal but we still waiting for 4th order and the waiter didn’t come . I want to the till to ask what happening I need my order and my kids are starving for food and they said we sent all orders to No 17 tables . How it could be they sent to the table as my kids were staring bcoz no food delivered on the table and I showed all receipts. The waiter said I will sort it out I went back to My seat .I was waiting for 15 min and he came back that I have no more orders I till for u ,I just delivered all food and I said call Manager and show them what we got on table And they checked and said yes we need to give u one more order meal which left .I was waiting and they didn’t get order and manager came again to check table with chef and I requested that plz don’t make hot flavour bcoz my kids can’t eat spicy .they didn’t listen and still watching us and wasting my time . I said I don’t need food now time is over and my friends finished the food and I need to leave .I told to manager and waiter . Waiter ignored me and manager was gossiping on till with her colleagues and I was waiting like more 10 min .then I went to till and she just gave me a receipt and refund and charged me the glass drink which was wrong with no food .she didn’t apologise and raise her voice to Me and spoke too harshly like I did Something Wrong . I was not wrong I ordered food and I paid ,spent more time for waiting and again spent more time for asking what is happening here .while my kids were starving !!! Awful feelings , I was really really disappointed 😔, What a bad worst costumer service ever I seen , I always go Nando's and we luv it .but staff and hospitality was poor . 0 for today and such a shame for staff and specially manager who didn’t know how to behave or talk with costumers !!!! How she became a manager !!! Strange!!! ...

So 2 things made me give 5 stars. I'm not going to bang on about the food because everyone who's been nandos will already know. The first, okay it's the food. Fresh and hot as usual with good flavour. The 2nd and most important was the service. It was quick for the mains (around 20 mins). The desert however took almost 40 mins bear in mind it's a tub of ice cream and a cake. I know they were busy and when i asked for the desert (after 9pm) seems most of the staff had finished. This left it all to the manager who's name was mason (i think). He was either on a til, cooking chicken and going from one section to another. Talk about 1 person doing a 4 man job. I asked one member of staff who said yes ill bring it over then started doing other stuff. I then went to mason who said he will get someone on it. 20 mins later he saw us sat there an asked if we had it yet and I said no. He did it himself. The point I'm making is that as a manager, he saw how much we waited and with little fuss he gave us an incentive for next time. He's a credit to your store and deserves a better range of staff who will help him throughout. Isn't fair that one man should burn himself out and others just dilly dally around like there's nobody in the place. Thanks to mason. He did a fantastic job and made the trip and the wait bearable. Will only be back because of this.

Order consisted of the cheesy garlic pitta for starter, fino pitta with a chicken breast instead of the usual thighs, 4 thighs with peri tamer and coleslaw and chips and for desert was a coconut gelato and warm...

Not a good experience here. Walked in for a date with a new bf of mine tonight. Got sat and told to wait 40 mins. No problem. 20 mins into waiting our name gets called so we get up out of our waiting area chairs to be seated. Another couple claims they didn’t hear their name called but are late to be seated so we get told we will be next and they will be seated before us... ok fine. We go back to sit and now our seats were taken in the waiting area for the remainder of the wait time... that sucks. So we wait. 2 more couples get their names called before us to be seated so why would she tell us we are next? Then finally we get seated and order. Food for my bf comes and our drinks, but 50 mins goes by and my salad still hasn’t come. I check our receipt to realize the girl forgot to ring in my food. So I get in line to ask for it to go as we are now about to leave and I’ve been munching on my boyfriends fries. She charges me.... like we’re here on a date and you messed up my order so I didn’t get to eat and you’re charging me? This place sucks. Not organized. Bf’s chicken was dry. Only thing that’s nice is the atmosphere and the mango drink I ordered. Will...
