The Stockpot at the Wellington — Restaurant in Oldham

Went to Saddleworth for a hike and decided to explore The Wellington for a nice lunch before catching the train back to Manchester. The pub had a nice Sunday roast offer. Indoor as well as outdoor seating is available. The place is also pet friendly. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon request, they rearranged our table outside in the sun for lunch. The mains were between £7 - £12. They also had vegan+vegetarian options. Definitely worth a visit! The only issue that I felt was that it was a cash only place, and thankfully one of my friends had cash, otherwise it would have been inconvenient to find a place...

Lovely village pub run by nice people. We had some proper decent pub grub - husband had minty lamb pie and I had pulled pork and mash with a creamy mustard sauce. It was nice to see how busy the pub was - it was buzzing with locals. We received a warm welcome even though we don't live in the area. It's a very happy and friendly place and we noticed that many people were bringing their dogs in which is a plus for us as we are animal lovers. All in all we spent a very pleasant afternoon here and we have made a note to go back again the next time we are in...

Called in this afternoon with my daughter for food. Ordered the mince and onion pie and lasagne with a portion of salt and pepper chips to share. Staff at the bar and serving food were lovely and really welcoming. The food was delicious and piping hot. Really good portion sizes. The prices are very reasonable too. Will definitely be returning again soon.

Great friendly atmosphere in the pub. The drink prices were also very reasonable.

It felt good to support a local business.
