Shanghai Bay — Restaurant in Portsmouth

We usually order from Wok&Chips cause it's in front of us, however as it is closed on Sunday we have picked Shanghai Bay. We have ordered lemon chicken, crispy chicken, Singapore Chow Mein and crispy pork in sauce. The difference between the 2 is staggering, Shanghai Bay added so much meat into the dishes that honestly we couldn't believe it, and the taste is just great. Sent the sauces separately so the meat would not soak, very thoughtful. I would highly recommend it, for sure our go to from now on. Probably is the best Chinese Takeaway we have tried...

Possibly the best ever Chinese delivery yesterday. We had Malaysian Chow Mein, Spare ribs in Manderin Sauce, King Prawns Hong Kong style and pancake roll, all of which were delicious. Also had the NEW Smoked Chicken Chinese style which was disappointing as it was overcooked and chewy, although it had a nice subtle flavour it needed more sauce or vegetables. This dish won't put us off as we're regular customers and so pleased to get back to normal...

This was probably the best takeaway we’ve had in ages. Food turned up 20min after ordering, still hot and staff were amazingly kind to explain the dishes on the phone as we weren’t 100% sure. Portions were big (we ordered 2 mains for 2 people and 1 rice to share and have loads of leftovers), food was tasty and had loads of choice. This was recommended to us by a friend and event though it’s a hole in the wall, it fully deserves recognition. Truly...
