Dough Bros Pizza — Restaurant in Reading

If you're in Reading and haven't gone to ‘Dough Bros’ yet, you're seriously missing out! I went here to have a bite to eat with my friends last night and thought this place nailed that perfect balance of cozy and trendy, with an interior that's got all the cool vibes of a downtown New York pizzeria and the hearty taste of fresh homemade dough. Not to mention their quirky and hilarious Instagram page which is full of personality and behind the scenes content!

The service was top-notch. The owner himself greets you like an old friend, very friendly and welcoming. He knows his stuff, too. His recommendations were excellent! . He suggested the ‘Honey Honey Pizza’ and let me tell you, I wasn’t sure about drizzling honey on a pizza, but now I’m questioning all my life choices before this moment. The sweet and savoury combo is pure genius. It’s the kind of flavour explosion that makes you think, "Why haven’t I been eating pizza like this forever?"

Then there is the pizza itself. The dough is soft but has that perfect crisp around the edges, with toppings that are super fresh and vibrant. They’ve even got biltong on a pizza - iconic! Also I was surprised at how affordable the pizza was too. Honestly, it might be the most delicious bargain in Reading. Where else can you get this quality in the area without having to choose between pizza and your rent?

If you're looking for a casual, authentic and trendy spot, I would recommend Dough Bros! Just make sure to grab extra napkins when you go for that hot honey drizzle, things get messy in the best way possible.

Came across Dough bros randomly in a Reading Chronicle article so got a little curious. Have to say, on a "buying a pizza" scale these folks were brilliant. Rang through an order for 2 pizzas (one half & half) on a quiet Sunday just after they opened at 5pm, very cheery and helpful and had it ready in less than 30 minutes. Pick up was easy, parking straight forward out front and they were just as friendly in person. It might be a small thing but its really nice just dealing with happy folks! Now the important bit, I don't eat loads of pizza in my 40's, what I could eat in my 20's from dominos etc now feels like I have had half a pint of salt on it and needs about 4 pints of water to compensate. First-time visit, and wow—what a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. While they don’t have a drinks license, they were more than happy for us to grab some beers from the off-license next door to enjoy with our meal. Such a relaxed and welcoming vibe!

Now, let’s talk about the pizzas—because they are next level. The menu is packed with creative options, and I went for the anchovy and pineapple with hot honey. I know, it sounds a little unusual, but trust me, it works. The salty anchovy, sweet pineapple, and spicy honey created this perfect flavor explosion, and the slightly charred crust tied it all together. Absolutely delicious!
