I am extremely disappointed by the service I've received after visiting this KFC. I ordered two meals for me and my elderly uncle without any drinks. After finishing our meals, my elderly uncle walked over to the till to ask for a cup of tap water, he was rudely refused it by the worker, and was told he needs to buy a bottle of water or bring his own. I thought there must be a misunderstanding as I'm aware that its a legal requirement for all restaurants to provide tap water, so I went over to ask why this wasn't provided. The same worker (female) told me her manager told her not to give tap water out. I asked to speak to the manager, who's name is Jas (apparently) he is an Asian male, short and tubby build with short hair. He told me extremely rudely that he cannot give water and when I asked why he replied "because we don't give tap water, that's it. Buy some or we can't help" I found his response so unprofessional and I continued to reiterate my point across, however he kept interrupting me. He then told me they have had all their taps removed. I asked Jas how long this rule has been in play for, and he said the KFC headquarters told them they're not allowed to give water and they came to remove the taps.
I am absolutely disgusted by the lies and disrespect shown by Jas, he is in no position to be a manager as he has no customer service etiquette and is also a liar. I suggest that this KFC manager is investigated and educated on the legalties of running a restaurant.

Read moreAfter the experience I’ve just had, I would give zero stars if possible. Placed my order on the app and collected through the drive through. Got home to find the burger missing out of the box meal. Called the store and explained the issue and stated I’d return to the store once I’d eaten the rest of my meal. Returned around 30 minutes later and struggled to speak to anyone. A staff member found a team leader, who went and spoke to someone in a side office and then confirmed my missing item. He then vanished off out the back. A staff member appeared and handed me a bag, apologising for the missing item. I asked to speak to a manager again, they just shrugged. I asked who I speak to in order to complain and she walked off, returning with the store phone number written on some paper. I said I already had the number and asked why anyone with authority in the place was hiding. She shrugged again and I left the premises. I returned home and opened my burger to find a stone cold, rock hard tower burger. This was clearly the burger they hadn’t placed in my bag earlier, didn’t even have the courtesy to make me a fresh one after having to return to the store!! Last KFC ever, never again. I recently had a disappointing experience at the KFC on Oxford Road in Reading. I ordered a chicken rice bowl, but unfortunately, the chicken and rice were both dry. When I approached the staff to request a refund, I was met with unprofessionalism that was quite disheartening.
I asked to speak with a manager, and one lady identified herself as such but refused to provide her name or any contact information. Shortly thereafter, another woman also claimed to be a manager but similarly did not offer her name. Throughout the encounter, the staff appeared to be joking about the situation, which added to my frustration.
After a lengthy discussion, I was finally given a replacement meal that was of much better quality. While I appreciate the resolution, I must say that my experience at this location does not reflect the high standards of KFC that I have come to expect from other branches.
The quality of food at KFC is typically much better at different locations, and I hope the management at Oxford Road takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior of their staff. I genuinely believe KFC can do better, and I look forward to seeing improvements...
