Pizza Hut Reading West — Restaurant in Reading

Ordered a beef pizza for delivery was told it would be 40-45 min. At 50 min still no pizza so I rang and was told no I told u 50-60 min sir. LIE!

Anyway pizza turns up 1hr and 10 min after i placed the original order and guess what no beef on the pizza! So I told the driver I'm not paying for this, number 1 it's cold, number 2 NO BEEF! he rang his manager Sajid who is the rudest person I have ever encountered.

I told him I'm not waiting another hour for a new pizza to be sent out so what can he do for me... his response was I will deduct the £1.50 it costs for the beef topping. I told him that is not happening to which he responded if u cant afford the pizza you should not have ordered it! What the hell?!

I told him to ask his driver what type of house I live in and what cars I have on my drive! It was their fault and yet he started to attack me instead, took no responsibility.

At this point I told the driver to leave my house which he did, but Sajid asked him to take the pizza. I told the driver that isn't happening and told Sajid if he wants the pizza to come and collect it himself. He said some rude remarks and I just hung up.

Luckily I was paying by cash so wasnt held to ransom or had to worry about getting a refund, as so many people on this thread do not get a penny back! So my advice to anyone is firstly do not order from here but if you do pay by cash not card.

I think he realised he was in the wrong when he rang me 10 min later to say he will have the right pizza delivered in 15 min. I told him a bit late for that and why could he have not been reasonable earlier? Anyway reporting him to his bosses.

Will never ever get a pizza from these...

Honestly, this place can be very hit and miss depending on who’s making the pizzas.

I’ve had good pizzas, ones that are the typical standard of Pizza Hut, but then I’ve had a pizza arrive absolutely DRENCHED in oil to the point where the box is collapsing underneath.

I figured I would give it another shot and ordered from here again giving them the benefit of the doubt, but there was a shortage on drivers so the pizza was over an hour late. I called up to enquire where it is, and the person was incredibly polite and apologised which was nice. But when the food finally arrived, it tasted very off… crust was crunchy and not fluffy, to me it seemed over cooked. I can only assume in an attempt to keep my pizza warm, they left it on top/in a low heated oven so it doesn’t arrive cold, I appreciate the gesture but to me it did more bad than good. (I prefer room temp/cold pizzas anyway, but obviously the staff weren’t to know that)

I don’t think I can order from here again, the quality just isn’t consistent, and I wasn’t offered any type of voucher/deal for my order being late which was allegedly an automatic procedure but still, I...
