Didn't realise you had to pre-book! So when told they were fully booked, a member of staff did help and found a free table available. So nice customer service, the food was fine, typical pub food and the cocktails were nice although they were out of ingredients on a few of the cocktails but the one they had was nice.

Popped in for the first time in 30yrs....not much has changed...great to relive happy memories with my Grandad and Aunty Molly My very first pint was enjoyed here and there was a huge steak. Many happy visits over my teen years and early 20,s visiting from Poole.

Ample helicopter parking, quality ostrich burgers, helal shots, massage chairs and a happy ending! Real fast food. Pretty barmaid, gutted this is it's last night open! R.i.p (Not Halloween related) :-/ shame the wood fire wasn't lit

Went for dinner which was booked table wasn't the one which was booked, but it didn't matter too much. sat down waited ages to be served, when served there was no salt or paper.and missing cultlery. The table was full of dirty plates waited ages to be cleared away. we had six loades of starter plates and dinner plates with food on and dirty plates all over table.in the end they were cleaned away when we got our pudding which we had to wait for over a hour.between courses we had a hour waite ..when we talked to staff were told they didn't have enough staff on and they were serving and doing kitchen work at the same time. The manager was on pot wash as they didn't have anyone.the girl that served us was pleasant but I think the manager needs to organiser themselves as it does matter if they is a mess in kitchen,as this can be cleaned make sure you have enough staff to keep frount of house clean and good service. The manager knows it's Christmas party time and families come weekends. The manager was running a half empty ship and couldn't organise it, sort out the plates and mess on the tables that we paid for and had to sit in filth.no excuse the manager knows that people have booked in advance also families come at weekends. Dont say come enjoy your meal if you can't organise the staff rota and service. You need to employe staff so the tables are cleaned and people get the quality of service they expected .our table was booked for six people.won't be going again very let down came a long way for the dinner and to meet family,left...

Don’t ever go here. I planned my wife’s 50 th here and invited both family members and all the kids. After maybe an hour and a half of the party I was informed by a friend that there were 3 males outside threatening the kids with a belt, the kids ages were from 3 to 9. I was informed that the landlord was informed and dealing with, so left it. After maybe 5 minutes I and my brother went outside to smoke, assuming that the management had done their work and removed the problem. Far from it. We were attacked within 15 seconds of walking 3 feet from the door. It turns out that the manager knows these people and is also related to one of them. He also told me they were in the pub from noon. The assault happened at around 10 pm. Other customers told me that they had had some unpleasant and weird exchanges throughput the evening with these thugs. Unbeknownst to me, the manager, who was previously arguing with these people from the upper window at the front of the building, was witness to the threats and in my opinion escalated these thugs, (whom he knew and is related to), prior to us leaving the building Police were called and apparently no further action to these animals is required. I would recommend that if you want a nice family meal or a special occasion that you give this place a wide berth. It is full of thugs and apparently run by them.

Update, just wondering why the caring staff, “Matt and Dave” haven’t responded to...

This was the worst place I've been in years!!! PLEASE choose somewhere else, if you value your health!

I contracted food poisoning from the chicken burger here and it took nearly two full weeks to recover from the most violent bouts of sickness imaginable!

The toilets where leaking, and looked like they had been for many hours if not longer with urine all over the floor, with a nice quaint sign as you enter stating "these toilets are checked regularly" sadly it seems they didn't react to any problems they found whilst checking!

We attempted to order from the menu multiple times to which the bar staff would then have to come over to the table afterwards to tell us they were out of that item, we would then reorder an item and wait in hopes that the item was available, it felt very unprofessional and would have been quicker in the end for them to tell us what WAS available still, this felt like someone in charge of stock control got it wrong, or the chefs just wanted to deep fry everything as all final order were done so.

They had no cutlery in the baskets and to obtain sauces you had to plunge your had deep past old used discarded wrappers in the same jar / basket.

The take away message is, unless you can plan time off in the next two weeks, and dont mind a limited choice of items with filthy toilets I would stay clear! Stock up on toilet paper before you go and remember, drink lots of fluids in the two...
