Rasoi Cottage — Restaurant in Redditch

I have been on the look out for a new, local Indian takeaway place and so glad I discovered Rasoi! It's always a gamble when trying somewhere new but it was a gamble that paid off. The location is great, just outside of the busy town centre, plenty of parking in a relatively quiet place and very easy to find. The guy that served me was really friendly and service was super speedy! The food though, is the main reason for me taking the time to write this review. The rice was fluffy, well separated and packed full of flavour. The chicken pathia was absolutely sublime. Often, I have been disappointed by other places for creating their pathia too sweet, with no spice. Rasoi Cottage have kept the promise a pathia should offer - a kick of spice after the sweet/sour. The chicken was also tender and plentiful. The naan too, I couldn't fault. The price is also reasonable and the food is worth every penny. Looking forward to...

Unfortunately this was not a good experience..we expected to enjoy our first visit here after reading other reviews but perhaps a busy saturday night led to the long wait for our food .This was at best mediocre and not to the high standard we had seen described by others....

And the one toilet area is very basic with a view into the kitchen wash up area as you pass which did not look that organised...a bit like the service in the restaurant last night!

The waiter was very pleasant and helpful but under a lot of pressure to serve all the 6 tables occupied when we arrived....takeaways seemed very busy and were taking the kitchen most of their time meaning our wait was...

Seen so many good reviews on this place so finally went along, ordered our food, took it home, the portion size is smaller than any other takeaway we’ve been to but then to find a piece of metal entangled in the first piece of meat that I was chewing was not acceptable, on ringing the number didn’t work so I had to drive back there where I was offered a refund and told they would ring me that night or the next day about the metal that was Saturday and still no call ! Whilst I understand the metal may have not been their fault they should have done what they said and called the next day Needless to say I won’t be returning Shame I can’t add the picture...
