Three tables that came in after we where seated, where served and had their drinks before we had even had our drinks order taken. However, the lady who did take our order, was absolutely lovely and a credit to the team that worked that day. The ceaser salad was a pile of lettuce that was swimming in oil, with two small pieces of chicken, no cheese and a small amount of bacon and sauce. We paid £2/2.50 for a teaspoon size amount of "house slaw" and a side salad, that was again swimming in oil. This was our second visit, and I feel like the prices don't match the quality of the food. The coffee wasn't hot, and we had to drink it straight away. We where also charged £2 for TAP water, which we only ordered because the bread was so dry and the salad was oily. A member off staff spent most of her time complaining that she didn't want to be there, and that she couldn't be bothered and wanted her bed. Which was overheard by the 4 tables in...
Read moreI was so looking forward to visiting this place. My friend and I booked a table for 1pm to ensure we could be sure to get our meal. We arrived a little early but were seated quite quickly. After ten minutes I asked the waitress if we could order drinks and see the menu. Five minutes later the menu arrived but no drinks. The poor girl was so busy and was working alone. She brought our drinks and took our orders. At 1.50pm our meals arrived. Croque Monsieur was a dry piece of toast with a drizzle of Hollandaise sauce with two pieces of bacon and a poached egg on top. Not quite as expected. My friend had smashed avocado on toast and was disappointed with her plate of food. We didn't order desserts. As we waited for our bill we were talking to the couple at the next table. Their lunch arrived and their table had been booked for 12.45pm. We paid our bill and left. Never to return. I don't think Deux Amis will...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Deux Amis and I must say, the experience was exceptional, largely thanks to our incredible server, Karen. From the moment we were seated, Karen's warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home.
Karen was not only attentive and efficient but also incredibly understanding and accommodating to all of our requests. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed, and her recommendations were spot-on. Her genuine enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu made our brunch even more enjoyable.
It’s rare to find such dedicated service these days, and Karen truly stood out as someone who loves what she does. If you're planning to visit Deux Amis, I highly recommend asking for Karen—she’ll make your experience truly memorable.
Thank you, Karen, for making our...
