My partner and I stumbled upon this place on the way back from an overnight stay at the Forest of Bowland when we decided to stop off for something to eat on our way home. All I can say about this place is that they served me the best food I have ever eaten. I had the French Onion Soup to start, the Chicken Supreme for main and the Creme Brulee to finish. My goodness. It just got better and better with each bite. The staff were very helpful and professional and the service was prompt and efficient. I'm so glad we found this little gem. We are already planning our next visit.

Walked in without an appointment on a Sunday evening just by looking at the menu. Not being local and not being aware of what to expect this was definitely an amazing find for us. Has good vegetarian options too. Please ask for them and food tasted really nice and the portions were very good. Hospitality and service was top class… a good recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy some good food over a nice conversation…

First the pros: The food was excellent and the presentation and staff were faultless. The cons: Was it worth the £119 I spent? No. £12,50 for 5 prawns and a piece of toast? £24 for a steak and some chips (no veg)? I could've eaten my 3 course meal twice and then nibbled at my partners.

We wanted to try somewhere different from our usual eateries and decided to try this little gem based on the great reviews. It certainly exceeded expectations. We hardly ever have 3 courses but the food was just so good we had to sample all three. I had the prawn starter, the chicken Kiev main and the choux bun for dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection with beautiful flavours. The fries were to die for too! My other half had the mushroom starter, steak for main and the treacle tart. We have been really disappointed with steaks elsewhere in the past but this was top notch and the peppercorn sauce was just right. There isn't masses to choose from on the menu but I like that as everything they offer is such high quality. Prices are very reasonable too for this standard. Atmosphere was lively and service was just right and not intrusive. We will definitely be back. A new...

What a dining gem amongst Whalley's if not theĀ  Ribble Valley's renowned eating establishments. A clever, honest fusion of English/French cuisine. New World and French wines to expertly compliment all choices and courses. Do not expect large portions, this restaurant prefers quality over quantity. As a pescatarian and a none sweet desert eater, I am often limited in choice, not here. The assiette of seafood was simpley sublime. The fruit cake accompanying the selection of cheese's is light and flavour rich. The meat eaters in my party also waxed lyrical about their Ribeye stesk and the Sirloin roast beef. If there was a suggestion to be made it is to include a black pepper biscuit/waffer to mop up the scrummy gin infused dressing of the salmon starter. This little restaurant is a serious contender for a...

Absolutely beautiful!!!!

I was seated immediately on a Saturday just as they opened at 12. The food came out fast and was served hot and fresh.

I had the sea bass which was cooked perfectly, a nice crisp to the skin. The flavours were amazing. I would definitely recommend.

I also had a choux bun for dessert which was a rich chocolaty delight!!

The atmosphere was calming and relaxed and they had a great wine list. The South African Chenin blanc was superb!!

The pricing was fair especially for Whalley and the menu had some very appealing dishes I’m wanting to try.

Thank you guys, I will definitely...
