The Dog Inn, Whalley — Restaurant in Ribble Valley

What a great traditional pub in the centre of Whalley. It looks deceptively small from outside but inside it opens up to numerous rooms with seating, a pool room and a lovely beer garden at the back. My first visit yesterday, don't know how I've missed it but I can highly recommend it. Visited for lunch after 6.5 mile walk in the area on Wednesday 7th Dec. Sat with our pints of excellent local Stout with a hint of liquorice to peruse the menu and I chose the Braised Steak daily special and I have to say it was spot on! A great pub nestled in the heart of Whalley serving a wide range of drinks and even food if you go at lunchtime... I recommend the cheese and onion pie! There is always a welcoming atmosphere when you enter and the staff are really friendly. There is a pool table near the toilets which makes got a great game!
