What a Gem! We came here for our sons birthday during half term. Very friendly, warm and welcoming. We booked via Facebook as it was half term. The pottery painting was enjoyable and food, drink and service was faultless. The pricing of the pottery was a bit confusing, I’d like to know before I choose how much they are rather than after as we had to put one back which upset one child, swapped for a smaller one. Tip- if coming with young children the adults may find they are busy helping them so no time to do one yourself, it was our experience anyway so we rushed ours a bit towards the end, pick a small piece. Obviously depends on your child’s ability. We all had fun though. I had the tuna melt panini which was lovely and generously filled. Husband enjoyed his ploughman’s and we all loved the hot chocolate. It was quite pricey which is why I knocked 1 star off. I would recommend and look forward to coming again.

It was Amazing! Yesterday we had the mushroom soup with cheese and pickle sanwiches and a ham & cheese panini. The mushroom soup was thick & full of flavour. The panini was also very tasty with amazingly tasty melted cheese. The ham was so fresh and full of flavour. We also treated ourselves to the apple crumble. Brilliant, made with local apples, crunchy & oaty with hints of cinnamon. The sticky toffee pudding was so rich with dates & tasted perfect. It was absolutely massive as well. We came again today and enjoyed chocolate and vanilla milkshakes, so rich and creamy. Tomato and basil soup and sandwiches/paninis again. The staff were very welcoming, friendly & attentive on both visits. Overall, our whole experience was Absolutely Fabulous. We definitely recommend it & will be back again very soon.

Outstanding place. Five cold and hungry cyclists turned up Sunday 12 January. The cafe stunningly welcoming with an open fire keeping the cafe warm and toasty. With today being the really first opportunity for folk to venture out due to the snowy conditions, Potters Barn was busy as. A lovely woman (may have been owner), kindly arranged diners and made some space for us. The food, simply fresh superb ingredients cooked to perfection and coffee to make your taste buds dance. If you are in the area, give yourself and stomach a proper treat. You will not be disappointed.

The young girls were lovely . The lady were rude thought our bill seemed a little high and asked for it to be checked ( I had forgotten about the drinks my mistake). She snatched it out the young girls hand and plonked my money on the side. Cutting a long story short the bill was right but I said im sorry ill have to pay some on my card. She said well can't YOU put it all on your card in a very rude manner. I told her we was paying separately and I would prefer not to. She moodily typed the difference in the cash machine and I paid she didn't say a word to me ... no thanks ... no goodbye . no nothing infact all she said was Are you moving this pram ??! . I will never return cause her service was awful she was a disgrace infact ill never recommend here in a million years I would rather starve. I wish I told her how I felt but it was busy and I had children with me and don't like spoiling there experience . I felt very umcomfy and angry😡. Well done to the young girls who made us all feel very welcome shame cause the food was Nice and whilst eating we thought we would return and do some pottery making one day. But we won't be due to the service at the end. MASSIVE...

Went to visit today on the way to look at the Roman Baths, on approaching, my dog did his business and we had left the doggy bags in the car. My partner entered the cafe and apologised and asked for a bag to remove the mess, a lovely young girl told us not to worry and she would sort it. We went outside to wait for a bag as we was going to remove it ourselves when one customer took it upon herself to close the cafe door on us. The cafe door stated dog friendly so we re-entered carrying our small dog and started to look at the menu. Another customer then stated loudly that she thought dogs weren’t allowed on the premises, the owner i presumed came downstairs, and asked abruptly if she could help us, my partner replied we were just looking at the menu to which she said they are only doing coffee and cakes, my partner replied that’s fine and she told us to go outside and she will come out for our order. We left at this point as we clearly not the owners normal clientele, we clearly didn’t speak or dress nice enough and our money mustn’t of been good enough. If you don’t speak with a nice accent or drive a...
