If you want small fancy pants nonsense food half of which you've never heard of and comes barely cooked, then this isn't the place for you.. Proper good old pub food, big portions, cheap and tasty.. Sports on in one room (few of the locals ect... absolutely no problem) and a dining area which is comfy and quiet.. Alan proper looked after us.. Food great, service spot on, good value... def return..

Great food, big portions, very reasonable prices. Good beer too - what's not to like!

Absolutely appalling! I wish there was a 0 star option but unfortunately not! The landlord has a filthy mouth and shouts at children including swearing, whilst they are taking part in a 20 mile walk to raise money for charity. All me and my friends did was buy some crisps and have a rest after walking 6 miles without stopping. He told us not to drink our water in his pub when we just had our water bottles on the table. He then told us we hadn't bought anything and to get out. He then swore at us using the word 'you're taking the pss', and 'pss off'. Baring in mind we are 14 year old children trying to do something good for charity. He swore at us once again and told us to 'get out!' shouting and screaming. My father then had a word with him and he has been barred for life for standing up for his daughter! I do not recommend this to adults or children as all you will do will be looked at wide eyed, and...

I live in the South now, originally from the village and had heard that Cath and Sue had taken over so thought I'd pop in whilst visiting my family. As soon as I walked in with my 2 year old daughter I was literally welcomed with open arms, it's great to see friendly welcoming people running the bar and making major changes including getting the yearly bonfire night up and running again, and with food coming soon. I wish you both all the success in your new venture, well done to you both...
