ā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø WARNING ā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK, DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT !!!! ā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø We visited 11.11.2023 and were ānearlyā overcharged by Ā£120 !!!!! You must make sure your amount is correct especially if you are in a large group. Itās a good job my husband had his wits about him as he noticed a MASSIVE discrepancy in the total amount. It then took over half and hour to sort it all out as they were trying to double charge for items that were already in the set meals !!! The waiter was getting very annoyed with us BUT TOUGHā¦We were not prepared to pay OVER what we had actually ordered.
ā¼ļø PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND CHECK CHECK AND CHECK AGAIN ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LARGE GROUP BOOKING ā¼ļø
If you are a large group booking, you will be asked to pay a deposit of Ā£10 per head. A few of our group unfortunately didnāt attend due to illness, the staff were not happy about that and pulled their face !!!! WOW, canāt help illness. The service was on the worse side of ok, frantic, understaffed, forgetful (my sister asked for a drink 4 times) a few miserable staff members and it was only early evening service. Kids meals :- Eggs and chips. Eggs are poached not fried and my granddaughter didnāt eat them as they genuinely didnāt look cooked. Sent them back and 20 minutes later the meal came out again but the eggs just didnāt look cooked so she just ate her chips. Portion of mixed starter :- Good but samosa was very oily inedible, the rest was very nice. Portion sizes of pilau rice and chips :- Very small and expensive. Portions of naan bread :- Medium, expensive but nice and fresh. Portions of main meals :- Good but liquidy and just alright taste wise. Drinks are all bottled and expensive. Interior is absolutely lovely.
Menu colour is bad for your eyes as itās gold on black. Menu doesnāt inform you of how spicy the dishes are so you have to ask waiting on staff.
This was our first and last visit. We simply didnāt like the place or the atmosphere. We will not visit here again, we have had better food and service elsewhere and we do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want THE best Indian food, service and atmosphere in the North West of England, look no further than The Copper Pot.
The entire establishment, led by Sid, who's the manager will not disappoint you or your family and friends.
Having lived in Rochdale for many years, and then lived in Asia for over a decade, I have not eaten better food than here when it comes to curry.
The restaurant is well appointed, with decorations and styling that is well above the standard Indian eatery. Ambience and lighting really adds to the location.
Well proportioned menu, with easily understandable dishes and ingredients too. Classic dishes, plus chef recommended dishes too.
Try the Chicken Chaat starter which is delightful. The Copper Pot Mixed Starter is excellent too.
Extremely detailed, and by far the most competitively priced menu in the area, and considering the portion sizes, don't be surprised when you realise you need a doggy bag takeaway at the end of your meal either.
I've tried to get some decent photos and videos of our evening and the food too, but I may not have done it enough justice. But please note, whilst the restaurant may 'appear' empty, I took these photos at opening time to ensure I gave the venue the right level of credit for it's dƩcor and space.
Within 30 mins of opening, the restaurant was filling up nicely, so book early so you're not disappointed.
You will see that I've given this restaurant a 5* score. This is very unique and unusual for me to do, which, when you see all my hundreds of other reviews, is something that I have not given before. Therefore, I hope you understand the level of respect and credibility I am showing to The Copper Pot. Truly brilliant restaurant.
Thank you Sid and Team. š

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe whole family pre booked this restaurant for my nieces 30th birthday yesterday which was 19th of December. We arrived on time but waited over an hour for drinks and starters. One of the waiters was very rude and abrupt, advised if you need another drink you have to wait until the waiter that takes the drinks order, we have already asked you for drinks you should have ordered then, and promptly walked away! The food was awful- smallest starter ever, 1/2 full pickle tray and only 1 popadom per person? Some starters were missed off the order and all pre ordered mains were not done so we had to re order and wait again for mains!!! The table was a long small table so we were all cramped in and when the mains finally arrived it was horrible- my king prawn Kari was creamy??? Mild when I asked for Asian style hot and I could only eat 1 chappie as the other was raw. Again tiny portions of rice and when we complain that the butter chicken was inedible the waiter argued it was what was ordered and refused to take it away!! Finally when we all had our mains some had finished eating and the same waiter started to clear the table? Very rude when most were still eating plus my partner had a mains removed without asking first so the masala was taken still in the dish, I advised the waiter to stop removing food!!! His reply was he needed to clear things away and I had to be blunt with him before he left. With the birthday being a 30th a special birthday cake was made and brought into the unable restaurant, we were however unable to cut this and share it out as the waiter and the manager advised they could not provide a knife due to health and safety??? All in all a disastrous meal and I will never eat...
