Dining at Harvester Sir Winston Churchill in Rochdale presents a delightful experience for those who appreciate the charm of a bustling venue paired with the allure of unlimited salad bar options. The restaurant's commitment to providing good service amidst its lively atmosphere is commendable, making it a popular choice for families and friends looking to enjoy a meal together.
The unlimited salad bar, a hallmark of the Harvester dining experience, did not disappoint. Offering a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, it was the perfect starter to our meal, allowing us to mix and match flavours according to our preferences. The joy of unlimited refills meant we could indulge in as much crisp, fresh salad as we desired, setting a high standard for the rest of the meal.
The service at Harvester Sir Winston Churchill was notably efficient and friendly. Despite the venue being very busy, the staff managed to maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that our needs were met with a smile. This level of attentiveness added a personal touch to our dining experience, making us feel valued and well taken care of.
For our main course, my daughter and I opted for the Full rack of ribs, anticipating a feast of tender, flavorful meat. While the ribs were indeed succulent and delicious, marinated and cooked to perfection, we noticed a significant size difference between the two meals. This inconsistency was a minor drawback, as it impacted the overall dining experience, leaving one of us feeling slightly short-changed.
On the other hand, my other daughter's choice of the chicken wrap with sweet potato fries was met with disappointment. Although expectations were high, the dish fell short in terms of flavour and satisfaction. The chicken wrap lacked the zest and freshness anticipated, and the sweet potato fries did not deliver on the crispy, flavorful experience we had hoped for.
In conclusion, Harvester Sir Winston Churchill in Rochdale offers a bustling and vibrant dining environment perfect for those who cherish a lively atmosphere and an exceptional salad bar. While the service is commendable and the ambience inviting, attention to consistency in meal portions and a reassessment of certain menu items could enhance the dining experience. Nonetheless, for salad enthusiasts and those seeking a family-friendly dining option, Harvester Sir Winston Churchill remains a noteworthy choice...

Read moreBooked a 2:30 table here Christmas eve. We expected it to be busy. We got there and it was relatively quiet. As we were a party of 2 we were expecting a small table. But what we weren’t expecting was to be placed at table 10 wich was a single table behind a pillar in the middle of the room, where we couldn't be seen. Why would a table be there? We waited 30 minutes for anyone to come (after asking someone) to take our order, whilst we watched the serving staff milling about nor doing much. As i said it wasn't busy. We ordered it came one meal was meant to be a veggie burger and it was meat. The server had written it down wrong. (Not the first time from the apologies we got). The salad bar was half empty (again not very busy) and there were no white rolls only stake brown. Once we got the right food it was lovely. It took 45 minutes to get a bill and try and pay. In the and a man I presume was the manager who was cleaning tables for a large party said for us to go to the bar to pay (cash and card). We could have easily walked out without paying and no one would have realised. What a waste of time it was ours and whom ever was booking tables. Not enough staff. Staff who didn’t have a clue. Next time we will go to our usual harvester. Food lovely, no organisation....
