We have lived about a mile away for 18 months and have tried every fish and chip shop around. Everyone we have tried have been poor in one way or another. Having discovered a post about Olivers, we looked at the Facebook page and went to try it out. WOW, we were impressed the moment we walked in through the door. The place is clean and bright and the welcome we were given from the member of staff that served us immediately set this place apart.
We ordered two portions of fish and chips with a pot of curry sauce and a pot of mushy peas. We asked for cheese other chips too.
The batter on the fish was so lovely and golden and beautifully crispy.
The cheese was melted on top of the chips which were cooked to perfection.

Food is outstanding, im a repeat customer & will remain so. All cooked fresh to order, so much better than getting old chips, fish is amazing so is the spicy one. The munch box is an absolute bargain for £10. The cheeseburgers are to die for. Chicken & mushroom pie is lovely, pie & chips meal deal is a bargain! Battered sausage is lovely. Scallops are fabulous, cooked to perfection. Chips are legendery cooked fabulously really really nice. Im never dissapointed with whatever i order! The staff are all polite & friendly. Oliver’s Fish and Chips in Middleton is one of the best takeaways around. The haddock is absolutely amazing – fresh, flaky, and covered in crispy, golden batter. Easily the best I’ve had in Manchester. The portions are really big, so you definitely get your money’s worth, and the prices are very reasonable.
