Ruchi Restaurant — Restaurant in Rochdale

Had a nice 20 minute walk to this restaurant. As we arrived, we could see a screen on showing football. The door was wide open, it was empty, not a single person dining! There was a tin of fly spray on the table, & the distinct smell of fly spray lingering in the air. A fly was in my partner's hair, & when we looked up the place was swarming with flies!!! MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER!!!! A cold NOVEMBER night & there were tonnes of flies. The waiter was brushing the floor ridding the place of the dead flies! We (3 of us) decided against staying. We have dined here a few times previously & it has always been warm, inviting, authentic (nice music creating a pleasant ambience) & a beautiful smell of mouth watering flavours being cooked... sadly Ruchi is failing massively. I went in with my mum and sisters and we had such a great time! The food was amazing and faultless and it came out pretty quick. The food portions were excellent and everything was nice and hot. The pricing was really good as well. Service was great also, except the young lad with glasses on was walking round with a right face on him, acting like he couldn't bothered and also seemed like he had no clue what he was doing and when I spoke to him I didn't understand a word he was saying because he was talking so quiet and mumbling quite badly. The bald guy (sorry haha) he was such a great host and he was really welcoming, helpful and funny. I would recommend this restaurant...

I thought the food was very good here and was on course to give this restaurant a five as the service was also very good. I had a hot spicy chicken ( very tender) lamb and mince dish. My wife, fish balti and my Mum had chicken tikka which was a huge portion. Dad had tandoori chicken which was almost a full chicken. He scoffed the lot disappointingly. Unfortunately marks down following my wife commenting that the decor and toilets were not five star. To be fair the upholstery on my chair was torn.
