A wonderful piece of nostalgia just a stones throw from Robertsbridge station. When approaching this place, I was thinking it could do with a bit of TLC, but upon leaving, I think it just adds to the overall other worldly feel of the place - this is NOT a run down pub. Go inside and it feels like, I don't know, 1930s? It's lovely. So much character. There are two drinking areas around the bar (an old lounge maybe) all done in brown wood panelling with the requisite pictures. The staff were truly lovely: friendly and welcoming.
