Unfortunately not the best experience ordered food over the phone was told 15 mins I was inside the shop within 10 and was still in the shop 25 mins later staff came out of the kitchen to collect food from the fridge but didn’t interact with customers a customer came in and pressed the bell for service and was ignored the phone was always ringing with no one answering it when they did bring my food out the forgot part of it and had to wait another 5-10 mins for that to be made however u just left my hot sandwiches on the side to go stone cold sorry but very poor service experienced so won’t be returning on a positive point the toastie that was forgot about was nice maybe if the rest of the food was hot with it might have been the same
Response to ur reply - I never once said I was in the shop 45 mins I said I was in there 25 mins after I arrived I was 5 mins early I placed my order at 10.50am u said 15 mins I was there at 11 and left at 11.25 that’s 25 mins last time I went to school u said 20 mins is the average time to stand and wait but I placed my order over the phone and don’t tell ppl 15 mins if it’s going to be longer, it’s also not my fault you can’t get your order’s correct in the first place and when u leave food on the counter for 10 mins while you go finish my order food is going to go cold u could have taken the food back to the back with u and place it under a hot plate to keep warm while you correct your mistake I never asked for a refund so why would I exaggerate maybe you shouldn’t be so defensive and learn from comments left on here about mistakes...
Read moreI’ve always been a big fan of Corner Kitchen. Their breakfast sandwiches are hands down some of the best in Rotherham. That said, my most recent order had a few bumps along the way.
I placed my order through Just Eat at 10:42, and it finally arrived at 12:06. I did get an update through the app, but the food still came around 20 minutes later than the updated time. When it arrived, Julie was friendly and genuinely apologetic. She included a free B Thornton’s Caramel Shortbread, which was a lovely gesture. She asked if I’d received a call about the delay and seemed surprised when I said no.
The two sandwiches cost £15.98, plus £2.50 for delivery, a 10p bag fee, and a 99p service charge, bringing it to £19.57 in total. So, was it worth it?
Honestly, yes.
The food arrived hot and tasted great. I had my usual BEST and paid an extra £2.50 for two sausage patties. They’re always really tasty, but I was a bit let down to only find one. My son’s large BEST was exactly as ordered and he loved it.
I really do love Corner Kitchen. I also enjoy their TikTok content and how they engage with the TikTok community. But when things get really busy, it’s clear they can struggle to keep up. I think some extra staff would help them keep up with the high demand.
Would I order again? Absolutely. Even with the small issues, I’ll keep coming back to this...
Read more3rd time today I've tried to visit this cafe while working in the area after seeing all the videos online, very disappointed!
1st visit was a Thursday at 10am, cafe was close, OK sometimes there's family emergencies, staff or stock issue so no problem, try again another time.
2nd visit, there was 5 people in the shop, 3 sat in the window waiting for food, 2 stood in the queue in front of me and my work mate, 20 minutes later a lady comes out the back with the order for the 3 in the window, 2 minutes later one comes back in and says, you haven't even put my sausages on, it was only a sausage and egg butty 🤦 comes back from out the back after another 5 minutes, gives him his sandwich with sausages on. Starts to serve the 2 infant, sorry I've got no large breadcakes, ok that happens sometimes, didn't want a 'standard sized so went down the road the the man cave cafe.
3rd and final attempt today 11.55 (shuts at 12.30 apparently) drives round the corner to park up, by the time we've parked the van and walked the 10 meters or so, the shutter is down.
Wont be wasting...
