Ring O Bells — Restaurant in Rotherham

This evening was a terrible. Myself, my wife and my sister in law came out for a family meal. Which was to be the last for a long while and was supposed to be a celebration. We had intended to come and have all 3 courses and drinks at the pub. On our arrival we ordered using the app. We noticed that the cleanliness of the pub was not up to scratch but figured it's later in the day so we won't worry to much. We ordered what we wanted initially on the app. Straight away we got the attention of Jonathan who we have since learnt is an assistant manager. We asked Jonathan if we could please request that our sharer comes out with the mains. He agreed. After a short while the sharer came out alone and with items missing!. We then proceeded to ask staff members to correct the missing items and please get the mains. In total 40 minutes passed and 4 members of staff was asked. Each member off staff said it was just about to arrive. After watching several meals leave the kitchen and going to other customers since we was told ours was next,we decided enough was enough. We then requested a refund and to speak to the manager. The manager then walked past us into the kitchen without coming to us and within moments our food appeared with a young server. We declined and again asked for the manager and a refund. Minutes later another member of staff came out asking us to go to the bar and started to attempt a refund. Still not the manager we had asked for. My sister proceeded to request the manager and we got told he didn't have the time to come to us. We have been told we will receive a refund however our evening is completely ruined and we are all left upset and hungry. A massive let down and terrible example of management. What's worse is that at the bar the server told us that our food had been sat at the pass for...

Food was ok . Hunters chicken could done with more sauce not much bacon either. Most places usually give you the sauce in a gravy jug too not here. Fries were ok not too my liking but not worse

Kids meal's sausage and chips and sausage and mash. The mash didn't look nicest but my boy enjoyed it so can't been too bad . Chips well they was fries didn't look best but wasn't worst my eldest didn't eat many. Gravy came five mins into eating there meal so not ideal but didn't get it.

Service was fast, however I asked for a cherry shot and got vanilla shot but i didn't correct the lady when she brought it so she didn't get chance to resolve the issue.

The place looks run down from outside in my opinion and similar inside if I'm honest.

Staff was lovely and polite.

Ice-cream for kid's was brought in goodly timely manager.

Staff when arrived was at side of building near a car looked be smoking/vaping not best view really but wouldn't stop us visiting

We got the £15 family deal which took us some time figure out because we hadn't added dessert it was costing more ,after trail and error we figured out what we done wrong. Maybe because better explained on app. Also shame don't get drink with adults Meal on Deal but can understand with prices Smelt very much of ale but that can't always be helped

Could there be improvements yes but overall wasn't bad ,I would recommend and would visit again if passing but I wouldn't come in again if...

I always try to be fair when leaving a review. After all, this is purely my personal experience. Others may fare better. Think twice about a family gathering of say, more than 6 people. They simply cannot cope with numbers in excess of this. The food was appalling (I'm being generous here). It comes out in stages, and is generally cold upon arrival. From the ridiculously excessive menu, I chose the all day breakfast, wrongly thinking the 'chefs' couldn't mess it up too badly, but how wrong I was....it consisted of 2 crozzled rashers of bacon, 2 cold hash browns, an anaemic fried egg and half a plate of undercooked micro mushrooms with a side of mushy peas in lieu of the missing baked beans and tomatoes which they seemed to have ran out of. This, at least, provided some much needed humour to the proceedings. I'm not keen on having a go at the staff, they're doing their best, and no doubt working hard in challenging circumstances, but I would refuse to take most of this food out of the kitchen, as it clearly isn't good enough. The management need to take a long, hard look at themselves. This is the latest in a long line of similar experiences, and I'm afraid I'll have to politely decline to attend the next family gathering if it's held here..... 😅...
