Been wanting to go for ages and so glad we did! Very quick service even though it was busy. Managed to book a table over the phone so we was got a place. The restaurant was bigger than I thought on the inside as it’s stretches all the way to the back. We used the ā€œeat out to help outā€ scheme which is included across the whole menu even the special offer they do on Wednesday and Sunday so we will be back again! Very tasty food and quickly done. Also large portions which was great, we had to take some home as they was loads. Nice atmosphere aswell. Just overall really nice. Restaurant also adhered to covid prevention measures with partitions between tables and seating us away from other customers when possible. All staff wore masks and there was plenty of hand sanitiser floating around. #supportlocalbusiness

Spice Lounge has no spice. This restaurant is NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED from my side, the food was not up to the mark. There was no taste and the food. there was only one person who was taking orders, and she said she was new, so she did not know what and how was the chef preparing inside. We told her to tell the chef to make the food better, but she just replied with an ā€œi don’t knowā€. The wada was undercooked, it tasted really weird. Sambar had no salt, and for this kind of food, it was HIGHLY EXPENSIVE.

Great food with a cosy dining experience. All the staff are friendly and very professional, nothing seems too much trouble. It's reasonably priced and I'd recommend anyone to come here and try it. They've also just had an extension to the building which had opened up the area a bit more, would definitely eat here again.

We came here after our usual place (cinnamon) was shut, we had been told by a friend to try this place previously, so we gave it ago.

Upon entering everyone seemed to stare and made us feel rather uncomfortable, not the restraunt doing, im just guessing during the week its more a locals place to go. The staff member welcomed us and seated us and asked if wed like drinks / popadoms.

When our food arrived, it was a very mixed review. The yogurt sauce tasted sour, all though the onion bahjis tasted very fresh and full of flavour! The curry i ordered was rather bland, it was suppose to be a buna but had no flavour at all, it was just chicken in a sauce with a quarter if tomato put in it. The chicken however was cooked lovely and melted in your mouth. My husbands curry was very nice, I have forgot the name of it but it was off the chef special, it had lamb and chicken tikka in it and was very garlicy and full of flavour! The naan and chapati was rather dry and crispy like it was over cooked. The chips were nice.

The customer service is non existent, they don't smile at you, even when you lock eyes and smile. They walked past our table and looked and saw my empty drinking glass 6 times, but never asked if I would like a top up. The atmosphere was very dull. Maybe play a little music to liven it up a little and break the silence. I felt very uncomfortable while i was in there it was not like a restraunt ive been to before. The staff dont really make any attempt to speak to you. They did bring a free drink with the bill. But as we was paying on card we just rounded it up to the nearest fiver, which he looked down his noes rather ashamed of us for not tipping more. He even repeated back what we said and looked disappointedly surprised. Which made us feel more uncomfortable.

The decor inside needs an upgrade, even just some table cloths on the tables would make a huge difference.

I have noticed on other similar reveiws they ask ā€œwhy didnt you raise the concerns with managementā€ The reason i never raised my concerns with management is because i felt so uncomfortable i just wanted to leave as quick as possible and the staff didnt seem very...

what an horrible experience booked for 2 people but only received 1 order I sat there with no food and no drink even tho I ordered my mains and also a bottle of champagne had to tell them 3 times they haven't gave me what I orderd so ended up leave hungry after nearly 2 hours... was only 4 people in the restaurant and put it down to a death in the family even tbo 15 orders went out for delivery but couldent manage the 4 people that was in the restaurant only leave 2 cause the food was actually really nice but the service was a 0

and I can understand if a bereavement was the case but it was the fact we witnessed 15+ orders go out for delivery but couldent manage 4 people dining in your resteraunt

if u can't manage 4 people then close the resteraunt and just manage the deliveries surely that would of been the best option in this case or only open the resteraunt at 7.30 when the chef arrived come on it ain't rocket science getting bad reviews and wasted peoples hard earn cash to satisfy literary 4 people in your resteraunt then yo just close cant be...
