Visited here today for my daughters 7th birthday & was quite disappointed. When I called to book the lady on the call was rude to start off with, almost as though asking to book was an inconvenience & adamant I had called and asked for the date before, I hadn't. Putting that to one side I was looking forward to the experience, knowing that was what I was paying the price for mainly. On arrival our table had been what seemed half set up with just a cup, 3 juice bottles and 1 knapkin with a childrens knife & fork. We were seated alone in the enternace and the staff seemed busy, with a baby shower in the other room. The food was enjoyable enough and we were given takeaway tubs. The 2 staff that dealt with us, one likely to be the owner/manager were barely present, had to be asked for spoons etc and made it feel when taking telephone bookings in our room, as though myself and 3 young girls were an inconvenience. Making remarks about the price of the bouquets above the windows to one girl who was curious about them. To finish it nicely I was charged 42.80 for what I was told would be less over the phone, working it out pp. I don't do this for fun or really at all, I'm sure that can be checked somehow. But after having the same sort of experience from a well know children's spa last week I refuse to not say anything any longer. The pictures are lovely the reviews not to bad. But that wasn't my personal...
Read moreI recently visited this cafe and was genuinely impressed; I am currently regarding this as one of the best establishments I have been too.
From the moment I walked in, the place was spotless—clean tables, tidy counters and everything felt well looked after. You can tell they care about the space they’ve created.
The service was incredibly fast and efficient.
The staff were friendly, helpful and clearly on top of things.
One of the best parts? The variety on the menu. There’s something for everyone—light bites, hearty meals, drinks and cakes that are hard to say no to… That said, it's worth noting they don’t serve chips, which I personally didn’t mind and prefer; It actually felt like a refreshing change from the usual greasy sides you see everywhere!
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the lasagna. Hands down the best lasagna I’ve ever eaten—rich, cheesy perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned. I’d come back for that alone.
Prices for everything are fair and reflect the quality you get. It’s great value for money, especially given how well everything is done—from the food to the atmosphere. The price is something that impressed me the most.
If you're looking for a clean, well-run cafe with quick service, a varied menu and standout dishes, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll...
Read moreHad my mums 80th here as everyone seemed to rave about it. 17 people including two children. Far too much food, think we took as much home as we had eaten. Good choice of sandwiches and the cakes were gorgeous. Quite a small place do we weren't able to sit together but had separate tables next to each other. We were offered exclusive hire but at £50 extra felt that would have made it very expensive. Not sure about how much each afternoon tea was as there wasn't a break down or receipt given but it was expensive, we paid around £250 for 5 traditional afternoon tea, 10 deluxe and two children's platters which are basically a fancy tray with a sandwich, small bun and a few crisp- we wouldn't have those again. Ive tried looking on website for prices but only see the 'offer' ones on there. Be warned its cash only and this wasn't explained on booking. We had to walk and find a cash machine. Another table also weren't aware of this. Afternoon tea is what my mum wanted with all her family and that is what she got however I'm not sure it's a place we'd go to again, there are more local places to us that we will try...
