Absolutely joke of an experience today. I’ve never had anyone try to humiliate me as much as your members of staff did today. I always order click and collect before arriving at a store, it’s easy to just order the same on the app rather than saying what I want as leaves no room for error and helps with my anxiety. I got in the queue where there were 3 people in front of me and although I did click and collect I awaited my turn, that’s fair right? Well clearly not as when it came to my turn your staff said the click and collect I had done wasn’t fair on everyone else who queued after me? Like I did the click and collect, queued up, did not push in and whilst people are being served before me, more joined the queue after me. Your staff doubled, then tripled down in front of everybody making out it wasn’t fair what I had done? How? These people are in the queue after me regardless of the click and collect and would be served after as I’m in the queue first, how can they say it wasn’t fair what I did? Absolutely humiliating because I kept pleasant and said with all due respect the people in the queue after me are after me regardless of click and collect or not. I didn’t just walk in and go straight to the front demanding my order. I have never ever had any issues at any of the many subway stores up and down country doing the same click and collect with I still get in the orderly queue for. I thought I was being pranked for a tv show until I realised that was so early 2000’s. In short I did no wrong, in future I hope the staff learn humility and not attempt to berate customers for doing no wrong. Read moreApp never has anything “in stock” even when it’s all there if you go in to order instead (done this multiple times) They’ve got my order wrong twice (left out an item the first time and did a 6inch instead of foot long but second time) when using app order. Judging by my other reviews on here it looks as though the staff have a proper bee in their bonnet about app orders. Unfortunately, subway sends offers to people often giving a higher incentive for app orders so they’re going to have to work out their little issue. I’ve complained multiple times online but the complaints system is a joke which is clearly, like many businesses nowadays, intentional to discourage you from complaining. Similar to the “we are experiencing high volume calls right now” message that everyone has which I believe it now officially being looked into. Subway used to be such a good place to go yet I know a few people who, with this branch in particular, have stopped going. Rude and miserable staff a lot of the time who act like you’re inconveniencing them when placing an order. If you’re linked to the ownership of this branch in any way and are reading this please please be aware that the practises in this subway at the moment are costing you business. The app system is constantly an issue either technically (due to the team not programming their stock correctly) or just through the treatment of customers. Read moreI’ve seen a lot of the other reviews about this Subway, and honestly, I feel like I must be visiting a different place, because my experience here has been nothing but amazing.
From the moment I walk in, the staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about making my order exactly how I like it. They’re patient when I take my time choosing toppings, and they never make me feel rushed. You can tell they actually enjoy their job – they greet you with a smile and make conversation while they prepare your food, which is such a nice touch.
The sandwiches are always fresh, well made, and exactly what I ordered. Even during busy times, they keep everything running smoothly without cutting corners on quality or service.
I think it’s important to recognise when people are doing a great job, and the team at Subway Thurcroft definitely deserve it. In my opinion, they go above and beyond – something you don’t always get these days.
