We came to dine at this restaurant tonight. What can I say? The food was excellent, bursting with flavor. The small appetizer was tasty but a bit dry — luckily, the mango and mint sauces made up for it. Unfortunately, we had to call the server’s attention to place our order, as we had been forgotten at the round table in the corner. I think adding some traditional music would really enhance the atmosphere. For example, I’d love to hear a piece like “Why This Kolaveri Di? (The Soup of Love)” — I absolutely love it! All in all, it was a wonderful evening spent here. Thank you.

First time eating a proper meal at an Indian restaurant and wow! What a great meal. Service was amazing. They were there at your every need. The potato naan (like a pita bread with little pieces of potatoes) was excellent. I also got the fried egg rice since it is close to fried rice in the states. For the meat, I got chicken tisala (not sure on spelling sorry) and it was really good. Mix the chicken and rice together and use your naan to compliment it, and you have an amazing meal! Will definitely return and give it a go again. Try it!

Food was okay. Ordered papad, Veg and Chicken momos, chicken and lamb biryani. Chicken momo was good but veg one's outer cover was not soft. Biryani was not upto the point, it was tasteless although served with peas and beans curry. Ambience and service was good.

In one word -"AVIOD" , Detailed If there was a -ve star rating these guys deserve that. -5. Hospitality very poor, I went in for a late lunch when the restaurant was "open", but their service was really poor , I had to want 30 mins to get the food and they wanted the customer to get out even before finishing the food. They could have clearly told a "CLOSED" if they didnt want to entertain any more customers BILL They tried to cheat me by providing a wrong bill with items I didnt even order, when I asked about that, they OWNER was furious at me and my family , which includes an infant - HORRIBLE experience .. WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN , and want to warn others , this is my first ever review of a place . The owner was frustrated of the fact , they had to keep the hotel open for one customer and they were not making enough money out of that. I dont want to comment on food, as for me hospitality...

Diwali wasn’t my first choice in North Camp as its Google reviews scores are the lowest in the area. There’s a lesson here: don’t always trust the numbers – it’s without doubt my favourite Indian restaurant in the ‘hood. I’ve dined here at least once and often twice a-week whilst staying in Farnborough. The food is enjoyable, especially the Chicken Chettinand (with extra green chillies), Tawa and Naga when accompanied with Jeera Rice (which itself is not often offered by Indian restaurants). Diwali is also reasonably priced with a curry & rice often being a few pounds less than other establishments, and given the food is good, represents very good value indeed. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and every visit is a pleasure. So, if you’re reading this you can be sure I’ll be returning when in Farnborough and, if you’re thinking about a visit I’d...

I've lived in Asia for 10 years and eaten in the highest rated Indian restaurants in Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, America and the UK. I lived with an Indian room mate for 6 years in China, and ate homecooked Indian food almost daily. I lived in Bradford for one year back in 2003 and ate in the best Indian restaurants Bradford had to offer.

Not only does Diwali have the best Indian food I've ever eaten, it has the friendliest staff. Ray is amazing; he always makes an effort to catch up, he makes sure everything is good with the food, and he is introducing me to new dishes I would never normally have known about or tried.

This restaurant may not look up to much from the outside, and it may not be in a cosmopolitan city, but it's the best I have found in more than 25 years...
