I visited this cafe today for lunch and unfortunately received rude service. I asked for a brie and cranberry panini but with not too much brie (I find cafes often put way too much cheese in sandwiches). I've made this request at tea shop around the corner (which is the cafe I usually go to) and never had a problem with asking this question.
The reaction from the women behind the counter was bizarre and seemed very cross with this question and said it wasn't possible. I asked if the food was made fresh (as if not I would have understood why not) but she said it was so I really don't see why the request was not possible.
