The Tea Shop Around The Corner — Restaurant in Rushmoor

I urge customers to still go and try the cafe regardless! It is a beautiful corner in northcamp that does brighten up your day.

However unfortunately I believe today was just a series of unfortunate events at a very busy cafe. Very polite staff sadly spilt my milk over the floor but happily brought another out. The meal was missing an egg on both dishes as well as being rather small portion sizes and burnt toast for the near £26.90 spent on them was not worth it :(. In terms of the egg I believe this to be either miss direction on the menu or forgetting to put it on. For the salad and crisps for the Welsh rarebit I believe it could have been better plumped up either with more salad or more crisps given it is £6.95 ish in price. All in all it was sadly not a positive response to a first time visit at the cafe. I will of course be back to try again in a quieter time but I just think the price for today's visit does not justify what I recieved today. The customer service is worth paying for, the flavours in food worth paying for but the unfortunate events that were just due to a busy day sadly knocked it down. The foods flavours were still amazing and I ate every last morsel on the plate because every penny spent earns someone...

Visited The Tea Shop Around The Corner on 26.05.22 and was served by lovely Clare West and her colleauge who's name I didn't catch, they were incredibly friendly, professional and courteus as I had not been there before. Straight away the atmosphere is very comfortable, clean and warm.

I struggeled initially to find the menu but this was pointed out immediately by Clare. The breakfast menu was small but had good items. I chose scrambeled eggs on toast and I was not dissapointed. Excellent presentation, fresh and packed full of flavour. The only downside was the portion size was too small for the price paid.

The teashop also has items for sale covertly placed around the shop which adds to the atmosphere, prices seemed a little high.

Potential improvements: -Larger portion sizes or lower prices. -A few more breakfast choices, hash browns, sausages etc. -Menu needs to be clearer.

A lovely little tea shop but service is often slow and disorganised despite the number of staff who work here. Maybe it's the time of day but tables are often dirty and not cleared when we visit. We often have to put trays away ourselves and wipe the tables with our own wet wipes. The staff are mostly behind the counter and in the kitchen, so it's difficult to catch anyone's attention. The coffee here tastes watered down but the baked treats are absolutely delicious! The savoury food is just fine - basic. Most staff are really nice and friendly, bar one blonde lady who never seems keen on having me in there for some unknown reason; she would ignore me completely and only speak to my partner. It's a shame as we enjoy the cakes and baked...
