The Golden Lion — Restaurant in Rushmoor

First time back in 25 years, warm welcome, clean,tidy bar area, dart board, comfortable seats,downside was no food available even a simple bar snack like a toastie etc would have been nice.Overheard that the Sunday lunches were being stopped because of no shows, simple remedy to this is non refundable deposit at time of booking with a slightly cheaper price for those who booked before the day,this was and probably still is a nice,well run local pub but I left with the feeling that more could be done to entice more customers...

I'm the worst person to leave a review on a pub, being tee total. Oh! And a vegetarian!...So please forgive my perspective. I love this place and the way I am always welcomed here. There is always a warm family welcome and I can't ask more than that. If you're looking for a bistro pub...Look elsewhere. This pub is the heartbeat of this community and it's menu reflects that. The food is good with plentiful portions. Long may this pub continue to be current and a success...

What can I say about The Golden Lion, I visit Manor Park in Aldershot 3 times a year and every time I visit the staff always make me feel welcome it's a wonderful place and I couldn't wish for a better pub. The Golden Lion is a friendly cheerful outstanding establishment with wonderful staff I would recommend this pub to anyone who's visiting...
