The Farmhouse Sandwich Bar — Restaurant in Rushmoor

I ordered a white cheese baguette with BUTTER. When I sat down to eat it I found it tasted disgusting. I rang the shop to tell them and I asked if they had used butter. The lady said she knew I asked for butter but had probably used spread. I told her I was furious because I had specifically asked for butter. She said she was sorry. But there was no offer to replace the baguette and no offer to refund me money. Sorry does not feed me. I now have a day at work with no food! To add insult to injury she actually over charged me 20p but because I spent £14 in the shop (buying for others at work at the same time) I didn't say anything at the time; 20p was a small percentage of the money spent. We all make mistakes but in this case just saying 'sorry' does not make me happy and certainly does not make me want to use the shop again. If you do go in then I suggest you specify EXACTLY what you require and double check the order. Also keep an eye on the till and make sure they don't over...

On a visit back to my hometown recently, I was delighted to see that Farmhouse Bakery was still going strong after what must be getting on for 25 years now! I used to go in there after school in the 90's and unlike many childhood memories, Farmhouse was still as awesome now as I had remembered.

The same friendly chap served me that used to when I was a child - that guy is a legend and man can he bake!

I had a sausage roll, a chicken and veg pie, 2 apple doughnuts and chelsea bun (not all at once). Everything was cooked to perfection. Great friendly service, fantastic prices and really tasty on all fronts.

I know bakeries - and I can say in all honesty that this is definitely in my top 2 of all time. The only contender for the crown being the now closed Jersey Bakery which was also in Aldershot.

I was extremely impressed with this place.

The woman who served me was lovely.

There were many sandwich options available. I noted that there were also fresh salads in the fridge. They also serve smoothies.

When I attended, there were quite a few people waiting to be served and the members of staff were efficient.

It was extremely clean and I cannot think of anything that needs to be improved.

I recently visited this place again, namely in February 2022. One of the two women stated that they were out of bread. This presented a bit of an issue, as I wanted a sandwich, but this was likely out of their control and they also stated that they had been busy, so it is understandable. I...
