3rd time I've ordered from Burgerism (twice in 2021). I don't order it much as its quite pricey.
29th December 2022, I had a particularly bad day at work and me and my partner wanted to treat ourself to a nice takeaway for the evening.
The food was delivered on time. We ordered 2 burgers and 1 fries. When it arrived, 1 burger was missing. We were a little annoyed because we only ordered 3 items, it was also crossed off on the itemised slip attached to the bag, as though they did pack it. We gave them a call and a young girl answered. She did NOT act bothered at all, basically suggested we either -
Basically, they want us to spend more money on delivery fees and service charge to get the burger to us or pay for an Uber to pick it up because we don't have a car. No sympathy from her. Nothing. We asked for the manager because we know there's more that could be done than this.
The manager was just the same, I don't believe she was a manager (she definitely was not a manager and if she is, you need to hire a new one). She said the same thing, and didn't even say sorry. She was awful. She spoke to us in such a passive tone, like she could not be bothered.
I get it, I've worked in Hospitality for 12 years, and I get it. Some customers are awful to deal with but we spoke to her with the most respect and we were genuinely calling because THEY missed our burger. We weren't just complaining because "our food is cold" or whatever. I'm in so much shock by how we were spoken to. I've worked in a restaurant that works with Deliveroo and I KNOW you can request a redelivery. This "manager" did not recommend this option. We arranged this ourselves.
Honestly, I will NEVER order from Burgerism again. Not even because they've missed a burger, I'm not bothered about that, mistakes happen. But the service and the way I was spoken to was awful. It's not difficult to pretend like you care or that you're sorry, I do it everyday in my job.
Such a shame because the food is great. Whoever is in charge of this business needs to keep their eye on...
Read moreToday was my second visit after I enjoyed my first introduction to the place last week so I took another friend today and was highly disappointed by everything.
To begin with the order was supposed to be ready for 21:40 and at 22:01 I was informed by a lady over the phone that I may have to wait another 30 minutes. This was surprising as she didn’t take the order no and didn’t ask details so I she couldn’t have known which was my order as I rang from my other phone therefore the phone number was different. Then after actually looking through my order she realised that it was only the fries that were delaying the food and so then she said it shouldn’t be 30 minutes.
Great I thought but I was wrong. At 22:13 I rang back and said that I would appreciate if I was not lied to to and told truthfully as to how long the food would take as it doesn’t not take 13 minutes to get the fries ready. Then I asked kindly if she would send 2 bottles of water on the house as we had been waiting for almost 30 minutes past the time we were promised and she declined and instead gave me and email to which I could leave a feedback to.
I mean surely bottles of water as a good will gesture wouldn’t harm considering I had been patient all this time.
Upon arriving though the fries were fresh unfortunately I can’t say the same about th beef burgers and they seems squashed once I opened mine.
OtherThan that I think they need to label parking area signs as when you fill the form in a new customer like me doesn’t know what the hill side is or any of the other locations are.
Also the form that customers need to fill in order to collect your food which by the way seems like your doing a COVID test online is ridiculous if the food is still going to be late.
On the plus side there is lot of parking and though the price is slightly on the high side I can not over look my first experience which was decent. So maybe in the future I might consider to give the place another chance.

Read moreIve been wanting to visit this place for ages, i love my smash burgers and places like this. However maybe i had let social media build this place up too much for me! The concept is great, the execution on this visit was far from what i had expected.
I ordered online in the day and selected a smash burger with cheese meal and a chicken burger as i wanted to sample as much as i could living 45 mins away.
On arrival, i messaged the page and out they came a few mins later with my food. All well presented and all in great packaging.
The burger was a little bland and soggy, as if it had been in its packaging for a while. Needed seasoning and to be fresher. On my second bite i hit a small bone or cartilage. Not really bothered as this shows its ground from fresh (i hope .. lol).
The fries in contrast to the burger was way over seasoned and only seem to be all little bits of fries. This usually happens when over cooked and they snap when shuffled into the box.
The chicken burger was again quite bland and very soggy. This to me says that my order must have sat there for a while in its packaging. The chicken was not dry but i was expecting great buttermilk moist chicken. The main issue was that the bird tasted like it had been cooked in bad oil, over used and had that bitter taste..... not great.
So over all, i was disappointed. Disappointed in the flavors and the freshness and quality. Such a shame as i would have made the effort to come here again. Maybe it was a one off, but it was a one off that unfortunately has put me off returning...
