Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Salford

My husband and I went into the Swinton cafe on Monday, first day of reopening. He had sausage barmcake (now brioche) and I had toasted teacakes. Jam used to be optional, now it comes with the teacake at an extra charge of 50p, whether you want jam or not. Well, I hate jam on toasted teacakes but still have to pay for it. Cutlery is given from behind counter, but you get your own tea spoons. No sugar sachets but sugar shakers which others were handling. As always, tables not cleaned, just dirty dishes removed. The main meal options have changed too, not for the better. The sausagesmy husband had looked as though they may have been cooked before lockdown; disgusting. We've enjoyed some good meals in this cafe, fish and chips (still on the menu) liver and onions with mash - couldn't find anything with mash now. The toasties have changed to...

I ordered a roast dinner from here off Uber eats. I put on the notes ‘no peas please and extra gravy if possible’. Because I didn’t know if they pre plated with the gravy or it came separately and well I didn’t want a stingy amount pre soaked into my food. They acknowledge this request on the receipt by writing a response. However they ignored me and added peas hidden under my mash. I have a legume allergy and it was mentioned pre gravy and response meaning they seen this request. I also ordered a Tropicana. The driver made me aware there was none and again it is written On my receipt. however they didn’t think it was worth their time to take it off the order electronically as every other place would and has in the past, so I was charged for this and did not realise until after I reported my meal and I cannot currently add to that...

Not a great breakfast. I've been to Morrisons cafe many times and never have a grumble but my last visit was awful. I ordered food and a tea, I got my tea and sat down. As I was drinking the tea I noticed it was spilling on me, I thought I wasn't drinking out of the cup properly but on closer inspection the cup had 3 hairline cracks in and was leaking. I changed the cup and got a fresh pot of tea so not a huge deal. Breakfast came and was not enjoyable at all. It was greasy, bacon was hard, sausages no texture almost mushy, hashbrowns soaked in oil, toast was good but no butter served and no butter in the condiment/cutlery section! I had to ask at the till and the server asked me how many pieces of toast I had! There was also 2 wasps flying around that myself and a lady from closeby table had to keep swatting...
