My first visit to this place and i had a good time! They do these 2 courses for ONLY 10.99! Its one of the cheapest pubs ive ever come across, in terms of food. I had a hunters chicken and it was really good, tasty, hot and so the speed service. I would give an xtra star but the service wasn't the best. As we arrived and stood by the counter the waitress was just doing her, without really letting us know if she had noticed us or if she would be with us soon or not and she looked like she didn't wanted to be there. She wasn't the friendliest, but a really polite and smiley waiter came to me and apologised for not having the chocolate fudge cake i ordered. And instead i had cheesecake. There was a quiz and everything, and was the funniest and coolest ever. everyone was so into it and seem to be enjoying themselves, was great! Thanks guys :)

It's okay. The steak was requested to be rare, but it's served on a 'sizzling skillet' so it carries.on cooking before you have a chance to tuck in. It may well have left the kitchen rare, but it was medium rare by the time I got into it, and thoroughly medium by the time I had finished. Other food across the table was pretty average and 'meh'. But it is what it is, the general fare for a chain pub. There were a few shortages of menu items, however I don't blame the pub for that given the current situation Britain finds itself. Service was a bit fleeting, they were completely friendly, but we did find ourselves waiting long times for them to turn up. Edit: Just received a generic 'sorry we didn't meet your expectations' response from the pub. Clearly didn't actually read or take on board anything said here judging by what they said.

After a very poor start to our meal and a young member off staff was extremely rude, and clearly doesn’t understand customer service, we didn’t even get an apology from her personally… the whole experience was overturned by a lady called Katy, if you looked up the word customer service in a dictionary you would find Katys name, absolutely amazing personality, and great at her job, she kept checking on us to make sure everything was ok and was very funny and very friendly, she deserves a promotion in my view…, thank you Katy for making our experience a much more enjoyable one after such disappointment, PLEASE DONT EVER CHANGE, you were AMAZING ********************/10 …. Went to RH last night with four for friends for a reunion meal with the intention of making it a regular event. What a let down. Not exactly full but every empty table was unclean and full of discarded plates and cutlery. Asked a waiter running through the bar if he could clean the tables and he just shouted "I'm busy serving food you'll have to wait"... I asked for a cloth but he ignored me and went into the kitchen. We ordered our food and was told there was an up to 50 min wait which surprised us as I said it wasn't full. Told at point of order there were no sausages for the mixed grill ( my friend wanted bangers and mash but had to resort to microwave lasagne that didn't even film the dish) so we were advised we would get extra chicken instead. Meal took over an hour to arrive and the mixed grills had no e,tea chicken on only a piece the size of a chicken nugget. The tables still hadnt been cleared ( save what we had moved ourselves) and we had to send the mixed grills back for the extra chicken. No cutlery was available until we asked and the condiment tray was empty and we had to search for our own. Went to the bar to order extra drinks after the meal and queued for ten mins with no staff available to serve. When the same waiter turned up he had to go outside to the front door as the supervisor who had the key to the till was out there smoking. Not a great impression for anyone turning up...why wasn't she in the smoking area at the back? Was served by her a little later and she had no idea wat the spirits offers were for happy hour despite them being on the website. No ice was available as the machine was broken as was no coffee as the machine had a huge OUT OF ORDER sign on it. We were there for four and a half hours and the tables we were at had still not been cleared or wiped. The only reason I gave the night two stars was the food was of edible quality, but the restaurant itself, the staff and the cleanliness was a disgrace, as were customers effing and jeffing (following a football match not during) when there were children running around. This is a local pub/restaurant to me which I will not be using again, and as I can see there are no replies on the reviews on FB indicates to me that they don't even care. I will be sharing this review on TripAdvisor and all local food reviews to warn people of the terrible service and atmosphere as well as forwarding to Sizzling Inns in the hope they can shake this place up for local...

Honestly what a disappointment, me and my boyfriend went today to enjoy a little one year anniversary meal. We both ordered the xxxmas burger. I specially asked the women at the till to remove any sauce or salad from the burger apart from the gravy. She said that there was no sauce or salad except the one Brussels sprout. In the menu it’s described as two flamed-grilled beef burgers with cheese, beef burnt ends in a lashing of beef gravy on a brioche bun. Nowhere in the description did it mention bbq sauce. The women specifically told us there would be no sauce. On the main menu there is a bbq burger and in that it specifies the beef burnt ends are in a bbq sauce, as the menu for the Christmas burger and the server who took our order said it doesn’t have any bbq sauce I assume this to be fact.

We were served and low and behold the burger had bbq sauce covering it. I asked a different server about the sauce in which she went back to the kitchen to ask. I was then questioned if I did in fact ask for it plain (something I do everywhere and always) and went off to the women who took my order. I was then told she had in fact told me it had bbq sauce, even upon me insisting she didn’t and with my boyfriend as a whiteness she didn’t relent.

My burger had to get remade and we requested my boyfriends did too due to them making the mistake on the menu, they brought the chef out who refused this and complained how it was a waste of stock. They wanted us to eat separately or him eat his cold due to my burger taking longer due to their mistake. He also complained about my request of the beef burnt ends not being in bbq sauce (as it’s specified on the menu) saying he would have to open a new pack and complaining about it. We ended up just getting a refund and leaving.

We’re regular customers for the Thursday buy one get one free and always have a great time. Today has been a shocker. We won’t be returning again after being blatantly lied to and shamed for wanting to have a meal together as a couple on our anniversary. I wouldn’t have bothered to post if it wasn’t for how they treated us once we mentioned it wasn’t how we ordered. The staffs behaviour and attitudes changed instantly and made us incredibly uncomfortable. Never before have I asked for a refund and left...

Having not used this pub for donkeys years we decided to try it for my mum's 93rd birthday lunch on tuesday. She had the chicken mix with chips & onion rings and really enjoyed it. My husband who has coeliac disease has to be gluten free and had his own non gluten containing menu & had the gammon sizzling meal with jackets & peas. I had a chicken burger which was lovely. It was my birthday today, Saturday & hubby took me again. I this time had the chicken mix and thoroughly enjoyed it.. nice crispy wings & tandoori thighs. Hubby this time had the hunters chicken with jacket & enjoyed that too. Today we were served by a lovely lady called Carla who went out of her way to make sure about the gluten free options available. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal, finished off with the chocolate sundae which was to die for. (Well it was my birthday) Would definitely visit again. Only one thing I would maybe like to see is the offer of gluten free chips. Would be nice for hubby to have a choice from a jacket spud occasionally. Jacket spuds can get a bit boring every meal out. Other than that well done Robin Hood and thanks Carla for a good...
