this is my second visit in 6 months. the first visit was better than this one but also not great. we went in the evening and the store was empty. the guy behind the counter looked miserable and very unfriendly. the food was meh and unimpressive. the pizza had unmelted cheese and was super greasy and actually wasnt hot. we were so hungry we didnt want to ask mr grumpy to heat it up. the french fries aka chips were probably from the morning or the day before and also coldish , dry and tasteless. i have eaten better frozen fries. the salad was close to £6 and large in england is small in the U.S. half the sandwich container ( really? is it so difficult to serve it in a decent container???) was empty but we were avoiding angry dude at all costs. the cucumbers were half frozen and the lettuce was tiny shredded ( we dont have that option in the u.s. LOL ) and wilted. there was a cucumber and pepper salad but no tomatoes in it. the only tomatoes available were pale orange huge slices. the red onions were sliced so huge it was so unappetizing. there were quite a few options to choose from but they did not look enticing at all. the cutlery was so cheap that the fork bent backwards and cracked. no bottle of ketchup or salt on the table. no napkins but some blue rag type ones at the sink. a young boy came in with a scooter and he gave him major attitude and the boy left. a couple tried to order salad and for 5 minutes he argued with them about it. he would not allow them to get a container with only one kind of salad. i neve heard of that before. if i go into a store in new york and only want shredded carrots it wouldnt be an issue at all. we couldnt stop laughing it was so pathetic. the tables and chairs are so old and worn. some chairs had black tape on it. the door didnt say closed and it was freezing inside. we tried to shut it a few times but it kept opening . this place needs a makeover in every aspect. i am shocked that in such a large jewish community there is such a run down and badly run establishment . i dont live in England but when i do come back again this is on my DO NOT go to place. i believe that the positive reviews were written by family and friends. i would rather eat a sandwich from halperns or even chips and soda then anything from this dumpster. if the owner truly values his customers this place wouldnt be in the bad state it currently is in. apparently he doesnt and he definitely will lose alot of customers if this continues. ANYONE EVER WONDER WHERE THE PIZZA CRUST VANISHES? it is so ridiculous that the crust gets cut...
Read moreA racist worker. Incredibly rude and hostile. We visited Tasti Pizza March for a salmon and cream cheese bagel. The bagels had been cut in half without being asked to do this, or informing the customer than this was being done, so when my partner opened his, it fell on the ground. He asked that they make him a new one, due to this – having spent £12 there. My partner’s first language is Hebrew and he does not speak English well – he was accused of being rude, and a worker, Mohed, refused to make a new one. When I tried to speak to Mohed, politely, and apologised for the misunderstanding on my partner’s behalf – and bearing in mind that I speak very softly and use a wheelchair, so I am hardly a threatening presence, he accused me of harassing him. He accused my partner of “not being human”, and refused to let me speak to the manager or owner, who “lives in London”. The manager, a woman, was hiding in the back. I apologised again and asked him to be reasonable – he said he wanted an apology “in writing”. I realised I was wasting my time, so we left. However, having spoken to the owners of well-known Jewish owned bagel and food shops close by, we were informed that this particular worker is racist and has a real problem with Jews. In fact, we were told that their own customers only go there when their own shops have run out of bagels. Tasti Pizza employs antisemitic racists – with employees like that, I find it incredible that anyone goes there,...

Not my first visit to the restaurant. No idea why the owner would assume this. Rude staff. They spoke to some of the children in an unacceptable manner. Jacket potatoes hard and inedible. Food left on counter to go cold.
Do not agree with the owner''s response. The girl did not shout out food was ready several times. I had no idea you had to collect your own food ! This is a restaurant not a take away. I expect food to be brought to the table. There was no sign to say 'collect your own food '
The potato was 'served ' in a foil container with no lid .It was on top of a flimsy paper plate. How are you even expected to carry that to the table ???? The millk for the tea was in a flimsy paper receptacle which spilt when picked up.
The boys were not badly behaved , I spoke to them myself to see if they were OK after having been spoken to rudely by the staff.
I do not agree with the owner''s defensive response. I stand by my review.
I am surprised at the reaction. If it was my restaurant I would appreciate the feedback especially when the owner is not on site. . Put some CCTV in and see for yourself.
