The Mothi — Restaurant in Salford

I have lived in the area for 13 years and have always felt safe eating here. I have a life-threatening allergy, which has resulted in me being placed in comas previously. The man I usually deal with has always advised me to call early so they can make me a curry without the ingredient that im allergic to. I've always paid the extra but was worth it. Tonight, I've called to order a curry, and they have refused to serve me, which is quite upsetting. They said everything is pre made, and my allergy is their main ingredient. I said I've eaten there for years and asked if they were refusing to serve me. He said yes, we are refusing to serve you. I advised that this was discriminatory and quite upsetting given the money I've spent with them over the year's, and because I know they are able to accommodate me. They always have. So whether this is a different manager, I'm not sure. But it's upsetting and rude.

There are many restaurants around cadishead that will accommodate, so I'm not short of places to eat. But this tells me that fresh is no longer their moto, neither is customer service.

I've managed to get tea from elsewhere tonight and I'll not be bringing family...

We ordered food worth upto 30 pounds and it was awful the currys didn't have any spice of any sort of taste to it the rice in briyani was hard as if its been reheated and just given to us .. the naans we ordered was chilli naan and it was burnt out had massive holes in it and could not even tire it apart literally pull hard on it to rip it apart and it was not ateabl at all it was hard and tasted burnt chips were reheated also was hard to chew on felt like been left for days and was just added on our order.. onion raita was horrible I mean I get it its meant to have yogurt taste could not taste anything good felt like I was just eating yogurt with onions. This is pure laziness from staffs at restaurant and for customers like us who order least £25-30 pounds worth of takeout helping to keep the business running during lockdown. We shouldn't have to deal with this sort of quality on food or laziness service!! This is the last time will never order from here again regretting it so much for anyone who does consider getting takeout or eat in here always check your food before you leave the restaurant! This is the first time I have seen a restaurant manager speaking rudely with customer. My husband complained about the food saying it was different in taste as compared to other restaurants in manchester. On saying that, the manager became arrowgant saying i should order in manchester restaurant and why have i ordered in his restaurant. Also said that customer should not compare his restaurant with other because he has been doing his business since 40 years.. i am shocked by thid behaviour and would never recomend people to go there.
