Club 99 bar & grill — Restaurant in Sandwell

When someone says don’t judge the book by the cover it’s normally for a reason. On the edge of industrial estate and in the corner of where Albright & Wilson (Rhodia Chemicals) sports & social club used to be, Club 99 has one of those vibes leaving you thinking it’s going to get noisy when any sporting event or activity is on. Looking internally like a pub with tables and American diner style booths it’s ready for you to enjoy a meal out with friends. If Food is the subject on your mind then going here won’t disappoint as many locals regularly enjoy the delicacies and that says a lot. Starting off with the traditional popadom and selection of sauces/mix which every part of had its own distinctive taste which was a really nice change to start with. My regular Lamb Pathia to set the bar and this was a little spicier than normal but good spicy, a great colour of dark red and the lamb, not a chewy bit in sight, not the softest either but good. Medium Mixed grill for my friend and again he couldn’t finish it off. M & B bar set choices made for all in all a great experience. The Club 99 is a fantastic place to unwind, watch sports, and provides a fantastic range of Indian food (the Clay Pots are to die for) and top quality wine and spirits. The Club 99 are like my second family, the manager Shell is fantastic, a hard worker, and always has a friendly smile! The staff at Club 99 are wonderful and always greet you with a smile and have a great chat with you, they are all a real credit to the team. The Club 99 is not only a great place to chill with a glass of wine after work whilst watching the latest sports (they always show the latest live sports games and events) but also a great friendly atmosphere for family and friends to enjoy a nice curry, they also have a pretty outdoor area with TV’s and fairy lights. They also do fantastic venues for parties and weddings, my stepdad was extremely pleased with his retirement party. Personally, my favourite food is Indian cuisine, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Went there Sat night 6th March. Yes place was busy.. but had to wait 1hour 20 minutes for my food. Customer service was terrible. They had no understanding on how to manage. Was told my food would be 40 minutes first them 1hour 30 minutes as they had to prioritize takeaway deliveries first. After i demaned my money back they finally listened. Looks like a bit of a cowboy operation going on there that night. Food when it arrived was not to the standard as other reviews show. Lamb curry way too spicy, bland no taste to it.. and mixed grill half burnt again too much that red food colouring to make it look good ☹ * its amazing how 2 months later no feedback from club 99? 🤔🤔 they only reply to customers who give them 5 stars.. *...
