Words cannot express how appalled we were by the service we received and how disappointed we were as a family to be treated in such way when we are usually regular customers here. Our table was reserved as usual, with it being for a birthday celebration. For some time we have visited here on every occasion, Birthdays, Christmas, Football Days... the list goes on. This is our grandfathers local and to make it easier for him we meet here regularly but after our experience this evening, it will be very hard to encourage s to come back. We made our food order as 3 separate orders as we always have, sometimes more when our boking is at its fullest. When ordering our food, we had to repeat several times due to incorrect ordered being repeated back to us. Once our food arrived, it went from bad to worse. The ordered appeared to be arriving in group order. First our grandparents food came out together, then my family of four, followed by the final group of 5. On the final plate, we advised we ordered chips not fries. The plate was taken away and was bought back by the waitress and we were told, the receipt states fries and therefore we would not be able to get the fries changed. We advised we were certain that chips were initially ordered. Unfortunately I did not believe this to be a fair case as it may have been selected incorrectly on the system when ordered as we were certain on what we asked for. I carried the plate back to the bar, as well as my 3 year old child and politely asked for the fries to be exchanged for chips. Again, the plate was taken back and again brought back out to us, and were advised by a member working rom the bar we were still unable to have the fries exchanged for chips and argued we ordered incorrectly. By this point our food was cold and our entire night ruined. We had to pay for an extra portion of chips just for the birthday girl to have the meal she originally asked for. On top of this we had to wait nearly 30 minutes just for a children's ice cream and a steak that came our more than well done when it was requested dot be medium rare. The steak was taken away to be rectified but again the plate was brought back, with the additional sides left to stay cold whilst the steak was sorted. By the time the steak came out the rest of the plate was stone cold and I had no appetite to eat any of it. After a while some of our plates were cleared but the majority of the table was left with plates and glasses. It felt somewhat as if we were being punished for asking our order to...

Came yesterday for a family meal fir my neices birthday so an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We asked waitress for some horseradish sauce she said dont know and walk off very rude so had to go up and ask for it ourselves. Ordered food which included 2 starters but asked for them as a main with chips starters came out along with every1 else's food on our table. After about 5 mins asked if could check where rest was at this point lady who served me was sat down of she said oh that's my fault I never put it down as a main no apology. When mains come husband asked for some more gravy to very rude waitress who huffed at him and snatched gravy boot and stormed off. Turkey dinner was disgusting turkey not cooked water on plate veg raw so took it to bar at the point rude waitress walked passed me 3 times until manager asked her to speak to me. I told her what was wrong and said he will have somethi g else and i grabbed the menu she grabbed the plate and walked off into the kitchen. I said dont you want to know what hewants instead and she just walked off again no apology when his burger can out she came back over and said very sarcastically is everything ok now!!! My sister brought a cake for her 6 year old they brought it out the kitchen put it on a table about 10 feet away and took 5 minutes to light candles so birthday girl saw cake and was sat there waiting for 5 mins. Very very poor services very rude staff never again...

What a find, went here as we were sick of looking for somewhere with good cooked food. It didn't disappoint, lovely presentation well cooked food. It was busy as it was Friday early evening wait time wasn't too bad either, a gem when you want a good pub meal. Friendly staff too and clean place. The blood orange browie omg mmmm. Give the gospel oak a try you won't be dissapoited , take it from a food snob Well just got back from yet another lovely meal. Fish and chips. Cooked beautifully might I add. Second visit Just been to Gospel oak yet again had the sirloin steak med/rare it was lovely melted in ones mouth, even had puddings . Definitely going to try the steak and ale pie next visit, the staff are so friendly the place has a nice welcoming vibe to it too . It's now become our local when we go out for GOOD pub food. Still visiting we are becoming regulars at least once a week . Consistently good food , friendly staff nice atmosphere.

Visited today we had a burger and a chicken burger, chicken one was way overcooked, very hard and not nice the bun was also hard, the beef one had pulled pork on , the beef was low quality beef, sadly we wong be returning , I say this as it was always...

Nice to see a gaffer starting to make a difference in the community at The Gospel Oak pub 🍻. Thought we would pop in and try the breakfast 🍳 for the first time, got to say I wasn't disappointed with the quality or the quantity on offer and I urge the community to pop along and try for yourselves, if you fancy a lovely full English breakfast. You certainly won't be disappointed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review 27/10/24 Staff are all very friendly and helpful Lea and Emma, has well as all the staff work hard to make this pub one of the best pubs in the heart of the community.

Large open plan pub. A really good atmosphere. The staff are friendly and efficient looking after your needs. The pub has recently undergone an extensive refurb, everything is clean tidy and modern. There are numerous TV'S around the pub including a GIANT screen both inside and out making it ideal for sporting events. Plenty of free parking in the large carpark. The menu is extensive and the food arrived quickly and piping hot. Overall a classic pub which having had a great refurbishment is clean and comfortable.
