I can never complain about the Aroma Cafe. I've been going here since I was pretty much a kid myself and to be able to take my daughter is heaven on earth for me. Its always been a safe place where we feel comfortable. The staff are I grew up with are very friendly and so easy to approach and talk to. I've never once had any issues here. The food is always refreshing and lots of incredible options. The last trip I had in here for only last weekend with my little girl and mother and it was absolutely blissful. It was the perfect way to end a day shopping. The food was perfect. Unfortunately I only took a photo of my food but my mother thought the big mac macaroni was full of flavor and very filling. She absolutely adored it and my girl was over the moon being able to add bacon to her Pancakes. She enjoyed every bite of it. The crispy beef was surprising for me. I wasn't too sure what to expect but when it came, it looked delightful. It was very unique with the crispy coating and yet still quite tender on the inside. I always enjoy coming here with always try to return...
Read moreWent to Aroma today for lunch with my dad and an old friend. Both my dad and his friend are in their 80's and a wee bit hard of hearing. Aroma was busy and very noisy. There is no soft furniture in the cafe to absorb sound so that makes it worse. On top of that, they had music playing. My dad and his friend ordered a french toast dish which was good and I ordered fries with a pepper sauce. The proper sauce was served in a ramekin and was clearly from a packet. It was very runny and pretty tasteless....and it cost £3.95!! Nobody came to our table to check the food was ok or if we needed anything else. When we needed another drink, it took several minutes to get a member of the waiting staff to speak to us. I would not voluntarily go back to this place. Food is decent but atmosphere is...
Read moreFirst time visiting and will definitely be back... We had the Mexican Twist (I think its called) - bacon, black pudding and poached eggs (stunningly runny) with chorizo hollandaise sauce on top of your choice of sour dough toast, toasted soda scone or something else that I forget... I had the toasted soda scone and it was all amazing... genuinely tremendous.
Looking forward to another brunch/breakfast there.
Staff were friendly and the cappuccino and tea were good.
The only thing that got me is the spelling of "cappuccino" on the back of the menu... I dunno if its like a shop "inside joke" or an error that's not been picked up but it bugged me for some reason 😂
Honestly though if you are local to Aroma definitely get yourself there if you haven't already... We're sorry we're so late...
