We visited this lovely café for lunch and some coffee before hiking up Beinn Laoighre (Ben Lora). Tasty food, quick service and friendly staff. Their toilet facilities were clean and indoors. Would definitely go again! [Good Covid measures: Staff wore facemasks, the tables were spaced well apart from each other, and there were plenty of hand sanitizer available to visitors.]

I would also recommend the pink and blue grocery store across the road if you're looking for kindling, toiletries, car services, or grocery essentials.

There is also a recycling station, some benches and good parking opportunities. A great pit stop for car tourists, cyclists and campers.

The Ben Lora hike is an excellent day activity which will still leave you with plenty of energy left by the end. The track is mostly dirt road or grassy hillside, so not too scrambly. When you get to the top you'll get a 360° view which is well worth the moderate climb. The trek is about 10km, and we got to the top and back in ca. 2 hours...

We have been visiting the Ben Lora for many years, and would usually recommend it. Although it’s always been a bit pricey, we look forward to going there for coffee and scones since the scones are usually so good. Today, however we very disappointed. The scones, which are usually delicious and fresh were dry and old, despite being sold as “baked freshly every day in the cafe”. The butter was rock solid, so ended up with a heap of crumbs on the plate after trying to butter the not fresh scone. The prices were outrageous - £3.60 for a cappuccino and £3.10 for an americano which was smaller than it used to be, and of pretty average quality. Whilst I appreciate everything costs more these days, this is over the top - we had much better quality coffee in a cafe in Oban for a respectable price during the same trip. Staff still as friendly as ever, but quality poor today and prices outrageous - a symptom of the times, or a symptom of the only cafe in...

Really enjoyed a lovely meal there today.

Most impressed with the dedicated service, it was moderately busy and the server attended and actively listened to our order and suggested the best options for our dietary needs - thank you for that, sorry I forgot to mention it whilst there 😅

There were good alternatives for dietary options (I'm vegan and my friend has specific dietary needs also) and plenty of specials on the board, for me personally I can see the effort has been put into accomodating for all people and I appreciate that.

Definitely will go there again, I just hope they find an option to open more often as its a...

Appreciate it's difficult times, but this place has lost its appeal, hope it comes back stronger, they charged £2:20 for a 2x2 inch piece of almond slice which I thought was daylight robbery. Sorry guys will re review if we come back
