Beth Browning's Bakery — Restaurant in Scotland

As I can only review the place once I have to sit on the fence with this one...I bought some filled morning rolls and some cakes when I was in.

Rolls 3/10 - prices reasonable but that's reflected in the quality I think. The sausage was that awful stuff that's rubbery when you bite into it...that may be because it's kept in the bain Marie sweating it's little sausage tts off, who knows but won't be back for rolls.

Cakes 10/10 - that's where it changes the cakes were phenomenal. Was massively impressed with the cakes, all seemed fresh and the quality was well up there. So will defo be my new place to go for cakes!

Staff 10/10 - woman was lovely enough when I was in, no complaints on that at all. Shop was quiet so wouldn't expect anything less under the circumstances.

Decided to give it a 3 stars, would of been 1 star for rolls and 5 star for cakes. Overall would have probably settled on 4 stars as it is a bakers afterall but took a star off for the woman not putting the lid on my tea the right way round and it pishing down the front of my tshirt when I was drinking it. Only to realise half way...

Been in a few times myself personally, foods good, atmosphere is kinda ok. However my sister went in on Wednesday on her way to me- she bought a few rolls and couple of drinks. Total £20. She tapped with confusion then asked for receipt and prices as £20 didn’t sound right. Woman serving (older blonde woman) said “here just take that I can’t be bothered calculating it” and handed her a £10 note. Either she was having a bad day or is ripping people off. I won’t be back anyway will nip to the roll shops down...

The the pie & bridie i bought was just hot enough to eat staight away not hot enough by thr time i would of gotten home so not good enough . The young girl behind the counter was pleasant but the older woman is not a peoples person she is abrupt . No foid gloves or sanitising hands at all not the 1st ti.e i have seen this in BETH BROWNINGS...
