I have driven past Brambles so many times over the years, but today I decided no more. Today was the day to take the turn in and to try it out. I was not disappointed.

The cafe is situated just behind the main house and has ample parking for cars etc, with disabled parking too. There is even a bike rack, should you feel like cycling in for some treats.

The feeling you get on entering is a little Alice in Wonderland, lots of amazing little nooks, crooks and crannies, areas to explore and moreover adequate seating both inside and out.

We were met with a friendly hello and given our choice of table. An old tree, come bench was the final selection.

The menu was detailed and varied, but I have to confess I went in with my blinkers on and already knew what I wanted - the all day breakfast of course!

With a large, and refilled pot of tea, we both got breakfasts that were fit for a full on flavour feast. They were delicious, hot and beautifully presented and served.

This is a little haven, just off the main track. You get company whilst you eat, in the form of ducks and chickens, all of whom are interested, but friendly and respectful enough.

The only criticism I have is of myself. I feel bad for not going sooner, wrong for driving past and wondering what it was like each time.

Today though, I took the chance, and I didn't regret it one bit. Great food, great people and service, in a great location. Great Scott, there are even chickens too!

Don't be like the old me and drive past, be like today's me, and take the chance. You will not regret it.

We will be going back, there is no...

I called here for breakfast, there is a great menu for food and drink. The staff are friendly and the service is fast ,efficient. The food I had was very good ,at competitive prices. You can sit inside and outside. There are no problems parking for all people, and the entrances are for all. They have vegan breakfasts. When ordering food I was asked if I had any allergies.the prices are very competitive. Will keep going back, the surroundings are very back garden with pool for ducks, geese. The staff and people working there are very friendly, well worth a visit to see the...

Found this lovely place about 4 years ago with fantastic food and I haven’t been able to find a place as good as this one. The staff are friendly, attentive including the cook (Jemma). Another thing I enjoy about brambles cafe is that the place is dog friendly meaning as a dog lover myself seeing puppy dogs and getting to pet some of them makes it that much better. It is a very relaxing place surrounded by nature and animals. There is different types of ducks and chickens. You can also buy homemade jam and fresh eggs and much more from the stand that’s is run by the owners...

Nice little cafe at the start of Dalbeattie mountain bike trails. It looks like someone's house's conservatory at the back. I admire their entrepreneurship though. Food and drink are good. No WiFi though. Pretty standard feature for public places these days. I'm sure they can open up their BT home WiFi to customers. A bigger sign on the road could be better as it's a fast road. Stocking some spare bike parts in their garage would be good as some mountain bikers came in to ask while I was there. Missing the trick there. Instead they sell some wood crafts from their garage.

Such a lovely cafe! The plan was to stop for takeaway as I had the dogs with me and they're incredibly nervous. The wonderful lady talked us in to eating in and she had won my dogs round within 30mins. Which was an absolute miracle! The food was really, really good - special mention for the veggie haggis from me! The coffee was nice too. And we got a couple of cakes to takeaway and they were also 👌 I will 100% visit again next time I'm in Dumfries and I absolutely recommend that everyone should visit.... Especially doggos! Thank you again :) xx
